2014+ Leveling Kits

Recommended Posts

Im still up in the air on weather to do 275/60/20 or a 275/65/20.... I am going to do the RC 2.5 kit with 2 inch block in rear, is everyone having a little bit of rubbing with the 275/65/20 ?? Right now leaning towards the goodyear wrangler duratracs

I don't have that size but from what I read on here I think you will just have slight rubbing. Are you sticking with stock wheels?

I just put Coopers ATP 275/60/20 on the stock truck/rim and they don't rub, but depending on the tire manufacture their 60 may be higher. I'm going to put the 2" RC lift in my truck to level it some.

ok, I'm sure this has already been talked about somewhere in this thread, but how does the RC 2.5" kit affect ride quality? I'm really enjoying the smooth ride of my new truck right now and I know the bigger leveling kits usually firm up the ride quite a bit.

I have that setup and still rides pretty smooth imo. Can notice it on bumps/ potholes though

I have 275/65's. No rubbing just need a cable tie the inner liner back. Both sides 3 mins. each

I have a 2014 with the rough country 2.5 with 2 inch blocks, it says that it is a leveling lift kit. The level is the 2 inch kit for the front. it looks level now but it looked perfectly level with just the front done, to much so. I knew that it would sag if I just kept the 2.5 front level lift kit on it when I loaded it down with anything. Now with the blocks it sits levelish with the rear a little higher just in case so it doesnt sag so much.

Keep in mind the driveway is not level at all and the rear is way down because of it.

ill be using the stock 20inch chrome wheels

When I bought my truck they had installed my RC 2.5 and put Toyo AT's 275 /65/20 (wrong ones though) and I never noticed any rubbing. But, I didn't like how narrow they are. Then went to 305/55/20 Nitro Trail Grabbler, and those sucked something terrible! Took the back, and had them install 285/65/20 BFG which I'm not a fan of but better than the Nittos. They barley rub on hard turns. I know have decided to take a step back and go with a new aftermarket 18" wheel and Toyo MT 295/70/18.

I hope they don't rub.

Hope that helps...

Got my Rough Country 2.5" level kit installed with 20x10 (-19 Offset) monster rims with 295 55 R20 nitto trail grappler tires. :D Rides different but not bad. I did not drive it far enough yet to see how the mileage is effected, but it seemed to still be dropping into V4 mode fine and the instant mileage looked to be only slightly lower. I will have flares added to it by this weekend I hope. I think it is coming along. So far I am completely happy with this :chevy: truck.
