$495 built into the truck. Can be added for a grand or so. Other threads delve into that.

I didnt know until 8 months of owning this truck that I can move my front head rest forward and back on top of being able to move up and down :')

Pull the head rest towards the front of the truck to move it, pull it all the way it will snap all the way to the back (spring loaded)

Im sure another expense and monthly charge.

No monthly charge to use the gps.

(just like there isn't for an aftermarket gps)

When pressing the blinker arm lightly without fully engaging it, in tow haul mode it will automatically blink 6 times. In normal transmission mode its 3 times.

Idk if anyone else has noticed this but if you "tag" a song from the infotainment screen while your phone is plugged in, if you are listening to the radio and that song starts playing on ANY other station that you have, it'll pop up on the DIC and I believe the infotainment screen and ask if you'd like to tune in [emoji106]

To all iphone owners out there, here is what I found today on a website I'm visiting regularly http://www.iphonehacks.com/2014/03/ios-7-1-maps-car-speakers-audio.html I have yet to check if works on my truck or not though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I couldn't care less about having the "Maps" application be able to automatically transmit sound (voice) to the radio to play alongside the audio. What I want is a default setting to NOT use the audio system for system alerts. That would address the gripe below, which also irritates me.

Here's something else that drives me crazy. I have my iPhone connected by Bluetooth and I never know when I get a text. There's no alert from my phone or truck speakers. Anyone know a workaround to get my alerts?

Every time I get in my truck, I have to swipe up on the phone screen, choose "GM InteliLink", then change to the built-in audio of the phone. Otherwise, I am unable to hear ANY of the system alerts from the phone. This is a MAJOR annoyance that Apple simply refuses to do anything about, and is one of a few larger gripes I have about the iPhone in general. I've never had an issue with an Android phone being able to be programmed with a "default" audio output. In fact, most of them now don't default to BT out unless you've actually connected the BT audio stream from the stereo to listen to music.

I had the curb tilt in my 2005 and loved it. but you could actually adjust how far it would tilt. I would always have the passenger side get lower for lines and curbs and the driver side I kept higher.

in the new models they took away the option to adjust it and gave it a pre set amount of tilt. Wish my tow mirrors had that function on the new one

Acura has this in their vehicles, and I like how they do it. You get a choice of ONE mirror tilting down while in reverse, and you choose which one it is with the power mirror control selector. L and R settings are obvious. Setting the switch in the middle turns both off and neither will tilt. SUPER easy to use and control.

I have the 40/20/40 split seats with the 3 cup center arm rest. One thing I asked my salesman was if the rubber piece in the cup holder comes off. I could take the rubber piece out of my 09 and wash it in the sink when needed. Although it was a different design. Well I decided that I was going to find out if the new ones were removable. Here is what I found. There are 3 tabs that are molded into the rubber at the red circles. It will take a slight pull to get them lose but, they will come up. Once I got the piece out I cut the tabs off and the it fits back into the spot nicely. I am now able to take it out and wash it when needed. Also there are cuts at the bottom of the cup slots that will allow anything spilled to leak under the rubber piece. Not a good design I.M.O.

This design is about the absolute dumbest thing I've ever seen.

First of all, who in their right mind would design a cupholder with drains and then not provide anywhere for that liquid to drain TO?

Secondly.. Pull yours apart and look at it. Each of the three cupholders has a little nipple underneath it that inserts into the plastic shell in the armrest / console. While the rubber sleeve is installed, these little "plugs" will prevent liquids from actually being able to drain into the armrest material. However, once you REMOVE the insert to clean underneath it, each of these three holes opens up because the plugs are removed, and any residual liquid can (and will) immediately drain directly into the console arm.

I can't believe that people went to school to be trained on how to make designs this stupid.

So i just bought my truck yesterday and while i was loading all my crap into it i noticed that when the keys are in the ignition (no matter what position) and the drivers door is open, the door chime will not stop. Is there any way to stop this or have it go off after a minute?

I'm not sure about the '14 and older GM trucks but my '15 Sierra automatically connects to my phone either in Bluethooth or when connected to my USB port. When I get a call it shows me through sound and visual in both head unit and in DIC. If my IPhone is connected via USB I can also use the Hey Siri function and it mutes all sounds inside the truck automatically. Pretty cool feature.

I don't think mine does. Has seek buttons on both radio and steering wheel. But never listened to FM or AM so not completely sure.

Does the radio have a scan button?

I think if you hold in the skip button, it will beep and start scanning?
