I'm still up in the air about levelling or lowering my truck and I've thought about getting Bilstein 5100's and installing McGaughy's 2" drop spacers on the 5100's set at stock. That way if I don't like it I can just switch to levelled, with out having to order more parts, may even just use the stock struts first. In the back I'll remove the block and install a 2" drop shackle. That way if I want to go back up it's an easy reversal... I have 2'' drop shocks in the front and my alignment is in spec. I think I'm right on the max adjustment for camber though, if I remember correctly.

Down 4.5 in front with spindles, struts, and springs...still aligns within spec.
Daly Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 I figure with Spindles the alignment will be fine, I just wanted to make sure a 2" drop from a strut will be fine. I had my feelings it would be, as it's really no different than going up, there must still be some adjustment. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to be getting into UCA's or anything. Thanks guys... 1
Joshjuniorr Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Finally installed my shackles this weekend. Not completely level... I'm debating on dropping it more. Also trying to get mounting hardware for my rear fender liners. No way I'm giving GM they much money for that stuff [emoji23] Also what's your driveline angles looking like when you pull the blocks on the axle? Any degree wedges needed? Axle is hitting the frame right where the notch begins. The notch also may not have been perfectly centered to begin with. Just to follow up on this: The notch was definitely not centered to begin with. I put the 1/2" lift shackles back in and jacked up the differential to get a better idea of what everything looked like before I switched to the 1" lowering shackle, and it's the same. Working with the installer on a solution.

If that causes a pinion angle problem there is an issue. No problem with mine...Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Wanted to make sure I didn't need any degree wedges before yanking those blocksSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
