I also have heavy orange peel. Is this across the board? Should we all be bring this up until they fix it? I'm not to happy with that part.

I removed the Z71 stickers off the side of the bed. I now have Z71 on the front grill with emblem, LTZ with emblem on the rear, and only the trim on the sides. Looking much better. Next is the color matched emblems.

Have a good weekend all.

You drove it off the lot with orange peel. They will laugh in your face if you ask them to fix it.

I'm pretty sure most factory paint jobs exhibit orange peel in areas...

My old tacoma had super heavy orange peel across the bottom. But when I looked into it, it ended up being a duracoat clear undercoating to protect the paint

The bottom of the truck does have a protective coating and it looks like orange peel there. The rest of the truck shouldn't have it. As far as driving it off the lot, it was night and the truck had only got there the day before. I custom ordered the 6.2L before they were shipping and waited 4 months.

Yes across the bottom rocker and the bottoms of the bed has gravel guard. It is standard and not a mistake

SOME even have it behind the rear wheel. Sorry, sore subject.

Yeah I just figured that to be part of the bed.

2014-07-26%2012.31.36.jpgI did this today... ARE Z series. I have been wanting to do the Pop & Lock for the tailgate and now the install has made my job 99% easier since the installer had to run wiring for the ARE lock. So next mod is the tailgate lock.

Installed last week and so far really like them. Took about one hour to install.
