Today I started on swapping my front struts.  Im removing the oem's with the strut spacer and replacing with lifted struts.  What a pain in the ass it is to remove these things.  The front axle/CV sits right on top of the lower strut mounts and its a pai to get the mounting screw out.  Had to remove the CV to get it out of the way.  3hrs to do the passenger side and about 10 minutes to do the drivers lol.  Then my spring compressor just didn't have enough grunt to compress the spring enough so now I gotta run everything up to a shop and see if I can get them to swap springs for me.  Hopefully finish up the install tomorrow morning

I've made some of my own changes to these bumpers to make them function more like stock. When you see the changes, you will know...

You could go to your local auto parts store and rent a spring compressor for free (security deposit that gets refunded) that should be able to do the job. Or you can see how much the shop charges to avoid the hassle all together

That’s the spring compressor I used but I didn’t need to rent one as I already owned one. The springs on the truck are just to thick. I cranked on them things with my impact and the psi cranked up to 120psi and it still wasn’t enough to compress them far enough to get the top but loose. Plus the compressor rod started to bend and I didn’t want it to break while compressed. That would have sucked. So I ended up running the oem and new struts up to the local garage on the way to get my kids from school. They got a real heavy duty floor press spring compressor up there and are gonna swap springs for me in the morning for $50. Hopefully have everything back together in the morning

SDHQ A-pillar install video posted up. Sort of shocked with the amount of grinding I needed to do to get these to fit right but once it’s all said and done, I’m happy with the brackets and where they locate my lights.

Part 2 coming soon of my OZ led pods with amber DRL’s.
