What was else was needed to make this work aside from the new cluster and wheel? I'd like to do this to my WT

Hi @Dinner Please check out this video on YouTube from dopezamora. You will need to order the Denali cluster programmed from White Auto and Media. The new steering wheel with controls. Snagged mine new off Ebay and a LIN Bus harness that I purchased from @pgamboa harnessdr.com. This harness will give you control to the cluster from the steering wheel and also restore backlight illumination to the steering wheel buttons. I hope this info helps.

I had tow mirror cameras installed on each rear view mirror and a front camera installed, as well as a bed camera.
The infotainment screen can display the two rear view tow mirror cameras and the bed  camera at the same time or separately.
The front cam has its own selection in the cam menu on the infotainment screen.
The coolest thing is turn signal activation.
On right turn signal, the right tow mirror cam comes on - same for left turn signal, left tow mirror cam comes on.
Cancels when the turn signal cancels and goes back to whatever the infotainment screen was doing at the time.
Awesome mod! (or upgrade, as the case may be)

What is this modification you speak off? Is this a kit? Can these cameras be mounted on regular mirrors or do they have to be the tow type?

Installed new tires and rims, and blacked out all my emblems, and most of my chrome pieces.  Also, completed the OEM off-road light kit, with the OEM light switch.

@Raven Z71
The cameras I have require tow mirrors.
They replace the bottom portion of the tow mirror with the cam housing and necessary wiring.
Not sure if there is a version for regular mirrors.
Fortunately, after install, the @pgamboa turn signal harness for the tow mirrors wasn't affected.

I have what sounds to be the same system, it's called Intella Haul. I also have the White Automotive option added to the rear camera so I can see what's behind me while driving. When I ordered my '17, I had the dealership install the system. They will need to program the truck anyways. Great system, now they are making the trucks work a similar system right at GM...

Yes, seems the same, or similar, except my backup cam only comes on in reverse.
If I didn't have the bed cam, I could hook up a wireless trailer cam - there are only four cam hook-ups on the cam module to the infotainment screen.
And, as you mentioned, dealer installed as programming is required.
First one my dealership has done as my truck stayed there 2 and a half days while they figured it out. :D

I installed an EchoMaster Intellihaul system for a local customer. Left/Right camera. They were lower caps for the tow mirrors. Wired high mount camera and a wireless camera. There was a module that was installed in between the radio module/screen. It was PnP. No dealer programming was required.

Same, Phil, EchoMaster on mine.
I thought there was programming required.
I was really happy to know it didn't effect your harness operation.

I remember seeing the Intellihaul system, but I lost interest since I wanted to retain my original mirrors as I do not have a need for tow mirrors.

I can understand but I really wanted the tow mirrors since I haul a trailer from time to time.
The cam system makes it even better.
To be fair, between the tow mirror install, entire door harness replacement, and the IntelliHaul system, (front cam, bed cam and tow mirror cams) I was in for about $4000 (including the bed cam)

Yep. The cameras for this system is a direct connection from the module to the lower mirror caps. So it wouldn’t have :)

When I bought mine it was only 1k for the system. Bed cam, both side mirror cams, wireless cam for my race trailer. I had to buy the tire mirrors separately. Now they have cams for the stock mirrors, but they stick out from the side, not underneath.

As far as programming, that is what the dealer said they had to do because the signal was not correct. Were they lying, who knows. Truck had zero miles, the camera system was also new on the market at the time...
