Can I see a pic?

I wanted to do an intake but I want a box.

the box ones they sell have glass with a seal to the inside. I wouldn’t buy it. Honestly I want like the factory box with the tubing to the motor. But I’d want the filter system in the factory box.

is that what your describing?

yeah, for my truck it’s low speeds going up hills. High speeds to but I drive in town mainly lol.

today after changing all the fluids I rode 100 miles ish. I got myself speeding? Lol. But the fluid definitely made a change. But, I only kinda did it half ass cuz I didn’t change all the fluid? Dropping the pan doesn’t drain it all. I’d guess some would be stored in running lines and radiator.
this V8 stuff is heavy. Speaking of that I read there is 10-16 fuses controlling fuel consumption all around. When I first got my truck there was 2 quarts of gas in the oil. WHEN IN DOUBT CHANGE IT OUT.I was thinking maybe the injectors are sticking? No way it’s leaking through the motor itself. Only 50k miles. Shouldn’t be the pump. Than I seen all those fuses I was like damn. Inside both front doors is a panel and under the hood. I should go check and see if any are bad and what my oil reads. I’ve rode 2k on the oil since the change.

I try to drive the truck on the weekend or if the wife needs the car. Nissan Sentra highly recommend. 2019. Put in a 100$ chip hella gains. Mpg went from 32-36 to 40-45. I couldn’t believe it. But, also the car has less miles than the truck so. Lol.

In the summer I drive a Harley 883 if it doesn’t rain.
just got a new job, distance is double, in the summer when I can ride… I’ll feel like the kool-aid man.

OHHHH YEAHHHHHH!!!!!

Here's the part # for the seal, Part Number: 22844822. You can cut open the stock one you have but it just finishes better this way imo. All its doing is opening up the face of the air box against the fender.

The air box I opened up is on the truck right now and I didn't take any pictures. But when I figure out what I like best Ill be sure to post one.

I should mention that I have header's, so any changes I've made may or may not be more pronounced then if running the stock manifolds.

Had a few days off this week before I start my new job on Monday, so decided to tear back into the headlights. I can’t ever leave anything alone!!!

Removing the old permaseal was a complete b!tch. When I opened them up the first time to install the Klearz, I went the easy way out and just mashed the perma down in the channel and put butyl over top of it. About 4-5 hours to remove everything and multiple times in and out of the oven. On top of that, I put a bead of clear silicone around the edge after the new butyl dried so had to get that off too. Live and learn...

Took the chrome bezel out, used Easy Off heavy duty oven cleaner to strip the chrome. About 10 minutes in on the picture below. 30 min process and it results in gloss black.

Installation of Diode Dynamics switchback DRL boards was next. Pretty straight forward process. 5 min epoxy to secure the boards.

PG9 cable gland on the back of the housing so I could mount the LED switchback drivers on the outside of the headlight. Wired it all up and test ran before sealing everything back up. Everything is good to go so back in the oven and sealed up! 250F for 10 min to soften the Diode butyl.

And the final results. Super happy with how everything turned out!

Dude!!! That’s nice. I’m so going to do this! Lol.

Just started my new job but parts are piling up. Got a set of rims and tires with tpms, zone 1.5 body lift, waiting for the 3 in rear blocks, I do have the shocks. They sent me the wrong lift 😒

You need to do a build thread.

Keeps all your mods in one place.

I should have did my vehicle build on this site instead of gmfullsize 😂 just to lazy to make a new thread of my truck. Thinking of adding another 8 pods of Q1 rgbw rocklights these have that flow series leds too! Still haven’t added the 2” leveling kit to it yet nor have I done the 1.5” rear shackle lift yet 👎🏽

According to Carvana my truck is worth a few thousand more today with 150K miles on it than it was when I bought it 6 years ago with a thousand miles on it.

I was looking at Chevy Express vans and was shocked to find 2015's with 200K miles on them selling for $20K++

Whow!! So I gave it a look and BOOM!!

Okay....World has officially gone round the bend.

Same. My ‘18 all terrain in ‘21 with 46k miles is worth $10k more than when I bought her in ‘19 with 12k. Never seen anything like that. It’s crazy pants.

Wish I started this when my Sierra was completely stock to see the progression. The only problem is I tend to get too excited and forget to take pictures throughout the project, hence only posting a few above lol.
