I have tire rub on the plastic trim at the back of the front fenders I need to take care of. Heard it today backing out of a parking spot. Going to trim off the inside end at first. If that’s not enough, I’ll but the Rough Country trim plates and trim some metal.

Upgraded my iO5 to an iO6 with nav from WAMS with a new HMI.
Simple plug and play but I did have to steal a GPS antenna from the stereo I'll be putting into my BMW later on.
Works great and I now have road speed limits showing in my cluster (only for "known" roads, though)

Don't know how I avoided it this long, but I finally got the infamous shark fin antenna leak. We had an oddball warm day a couple weeks ago where it rained nonstop for two full days and I got in and there was water dripping on the parking brake and pooling a little bit on the driver floor mats.

Luckily, with there being so much years worth of content at this point on this issue, I pretty much immediately identified it as water trickling down from the antenna. Going to get a new one, clean up any corrosion, replace the old, and put a light thing of silicon to hopefully prevent this from happening again in the future! There was some minor staining in the headliner, but nowhere near as bad as when the third brake light leaked and can be easily cleaned up.

Got a set of 2024 police tahoe wheels for my 2014 sierra, for winter. Just finished putting on the center cap decals. 20250130_135339.thumb.jpg.2678c330f8794932b2429797c1fae849.jpg

Cut the front fenders and made some stainless plates to pull back the liners and corner plastic trim. I now have about 1” of clearance but it still rubs the liner at the cab mounts. Need to see what I can cut/ bend there.

Installed rear bilstein 5100s, performed oil change getting it ready to pull out of storage. During winter installed a light bar behind the grill, and made my own raptor lights. Ran wiring so it looks stock 👌

This was an expensive month to say the least!

- Started to get noise from the rear brakes, which ultimately lead to new pads and rotors. These were on my list for a while, but the pads still had a bit of life left in them and I didn't suffer from any brake performance so I was planning to save it until later. I could not stand the noise and excessive brake dust though so that was enough to get me to do it, lol

- While doing the brakes, also noticed that there was an excessive amount of play in practically all the ball joints. This was another maintenance item that I was kind of hoping to do later this year, however, I just decided to do it. Decent amount of work and fairly expensive for the ball joints and control arms. However, I am happy with the final result and "hopefully" I won't have to worry about this for a long time.

- Also got new tires! I have had the current set of Goodyear Wrangler SR-A's since 2019 and about 53,000 miles (which is about the maximum life that these tires can go, to be honest). While I don't regret getting another set of these back then, I can also see why I (think) they were discontinued. The wear on these tires is just abysmal. I think they served their purpose well, but with normal driving and religious tire rotations I feel like the amount of wear and dry rot is just not acceptable. While I still do believe they look awesome on these trucks, I have reached a point in my ownership where my concern about performance and longevity kind of outweighs the aesthetics, haha. So I ditched them this time around and replaced them with Michelin Defender LTX M/S2s (based on the recommendations from these forums). My first impression: It is a great tire and I am looking forward to many miles from them!

Got a slightly used AFE Pro 5R intake from another member here on the forum over a week ago.  Finally got it installed.  Took a little time and cleaned the filter and the box.  Minimal issues with the install until I dropped the screw that secures the MAF to the air tube.  Dang thing landed on the skid plate somewhere that I couldn't find it or reach it.  Fortunately found a close enough match in my random screw jar.  Aside from the 15 minutes it took to solve that issue, everything was done in about 25 minutes.

I understood that these things tend to make the engine louder but I didn't notice any increase.  Also I am sure that this thing has doubled my horsepower.

I painted my tow hooks red, for my 17’ all terrain. Three coats of the red and three coats of the clear. Not to shabby for learning how to take them out on YouTube😂

That looks great. It's crazy how removing one of the hooks is such a PITA :)

Well, not today technically but over the past week and a half

Upper control arms

Lower Ball Joints

Inner / Outer Tie Rod Ends

Both front wheel bearings

Billet torque converter and trans tune as prevention rather than repair 😉

I replaced my black hooks on my ‘18 with OE red ones last summer. Was definitely scratching my head on that decision for that one bolt. 🤪
