No pics yet because the weather hasn't been great, but I installed my 2" Rough Country, and got an alignment . Also added this stubby antenna today. [/url]">http://

How well does that antenna work ? who makes it ? looks good.

It seems to work just as well as stock so far, maybe a little loss on one station that I use occasionally. It was always questionable anyways. I picked it up at the local auto parts store, it is made by Metra, and was $18. Cheap, easy and looks good.

Well i deleted my air dam the other day (see post 5236), and while i think it look better removed, it just looked as tho something was missing... so i decided to trim it down and reinstall as a few others have done. Looks much better now imo. Finishes the lower bumper area out nicely.

Just took my 16 to the dealer to get the 1000 mile break in oil changed.

Ummmm ive got 3,000 miles on mine with no "break-in oil change" done. I see no mention in my manual either... should i be concerned here?

No, not at all. Just personal preference. I did oil and all driveline components at 1k miles, I'm a stickler when it comes to maintenance

Did your dealers give you the free oil change at 1000 miles? Mine told me the oil life percentage had to below a certain percentage, I forget maybe 20%, before it'd qualify for the free oil change. Something else I noticed later was the details on the free oil changes. Up to 4 free, 2 per year max, 24,000 miles and 24 months. Dealer recommendation and oil life meter seems to get you around 7,000 miles between changes so I'll never get that 4th free one at this point unless you guys have had luck getting your dealers to change it at any interval?

Modified the factory alarm to trigger on locked entry handle pull.

Nice touch, but I could see that getting old very quick. Many times I go outside to my truck to grab something I forgot to find my door is locked. My neighbors would hate me.

You won't see it in the maintenance schedule as technically, GM doesn't use "break-in" fluids as they once did. However, you will find a lot of owners do their first oil change (and other fluids) early just as personal preference. Personally, I don't put a lot of miles per year on my vehicles, so my first oil change was at 3,000 miles (I had my first 4 done at 6 month intervals, then switched to full synthetic, Mobile 1 and it will be one change annually). Now, I should also tell you that my dealer provides the first 4 oil changes during the first two years at whatever interval the customer desires and does not limit it by the OLM percentage.

You will hear as many opinions on this as there are drivers...
