What have you done to your K2 today?

Recommended Posts

Finally got my Method NV's installed. I got a good deal on CL for them in Dec, but just never got around to getting them put on. I went with the KO2 and love the look. Lost a little power to the extra rotating mass but it was less than I had feared. Rides better than my stock 20s did so worth the trade off!

Your truck looks fantastic! This is a tough, solid and practical look without going to extremes. Nicely done!

Thank you! I was worried all the chrome would make the black wheels look out of place but think it worked out.

Added some new scratches and put a few more notches on her belt. Broke 2 ropes.

6 trucks stuck. I really need a winch

Plus the new bumper or winch mount...

It's not that hard. You don't need a new bumper, but if you have any other questions please hesitate to ask...

That looks like a HD, but I presume it could be done on a 1500, too, provided a front plate isn't needed.

Looks sharp. Did you bend the tabs up from where the front air damn was bolted? I have a Reg Cab short bed with fox 2.0 2'' lift and I can see the tabs but didn't notice them in your pictures. Did you install that front lower skid plate? I struggled with mine, still haven't been able to get all the clips installed.

Thank you! I didnt bend the tabs actually, I thought about it but only really visible from certain angles. As for the skid plate, do you mean the the front lower chrome one in middle, below tow hooks? It was already on the truck, came stock with it. I can imagine it is not easy to remove or install one. Probably easier to pull bumper and do it and put the bumper back.

I want to do a 2016 front end conversion at some point so I can put the real skid plate on that goes from the bumper back to the cross member.

The first day I removed the air damn a buddy at work and he pointed out two tabs are visible from the side almost imminently. I did mean the smaller chrome piece by the tow hooks. It's not terrible, one 7mm bolt on the top was tough, but I just can't get the tabs on the top to clip in. I'm going to try this week when I get my Morimoto fog lights with the bumper removed.
