In the process of painting a customer's flares and front valance right now. Roughly $220 for removal, sanding, primer, paint and install.

I'd like to get some of these! I think they add a nice finish to the whole appearance. Guess I'll have to order the unpainted then have painted for Irridium Met.

Dave, instead of ordering new ones you could just have the ones that came with your truck removed, painted and re-installed.

My Sierra is Summit White. The contrasting black fender-well trim is one of the three things that pulled me away from buying another Silverado. The others were Sierra projector headlights and the Silverado's wall-of-chrome front grill.

Just my opinion but I like the black factories against my white diamond. Plus, when the tires sling some debris against them from the underside when I'm off the pavement, I don't have to worry about chipping the paint. However, on OJ's Denali - they look great. The black against that Sonoma Red just didn't do it justice - you fixed that.

How well do they match the factory paint in direct sunlight? I found GM's painted not to be an exact match on Summit White trucks.

I can't speak for the ones for sale on Ebay, but mine are perfect match, I used the fuel door to color match, and then had them sanded and sprayed.

I thought about that too! I got some connections at body shops...

Does anyone know if the gmc fender flares (or what ever they're listed as) could be fitted to the Silverados . I think they look great. I am shure it would not be a direct bolt on.

Ok, now Ive swapped out the blk ones for the GM painted on the new AT and they match perfect. Good enough that my wife hasn't noticed.

Although it was a tad cheaper to have the first set painted, the 2nd set was a lot easier, and I didn't have to ride around with the molding/flares off the truck for a couple days. With out them the Sierra looks awful!

I'm posting these pictures for "CorvetteOJ".

This is not my truck.

That looks 100X better. Makes one wonder why they did not do it from the get go? :dunno: Maybe leave the base Sierra in the flat black plastic, but paint the wheel moldings for SLE/T & Denali within the base price.

They look good painted. When I bought mine in oct. Gmc didn't have painted fender moldings so I got a chevy instead. I didn't want a $50,000 with black plastic fender moldings that fade over time not to mention it's a pain to wax around. I'm glad they are offering them painted now.

At first I wasn't a fan, but over time I like them, and I loved them even more when I saw them in person, now to me the Chevy looks cheap.
