Outside Temperature Readout Displayed Inaccurate

Has anyone noticed that the temperature being displayed varies a lot from the actual outside temperature? I am seeing a difference of over 10 degrees, at times, and it can also be correct. It seems to display whatever it likes. I had a 2003 Silverado and the readout was always accurate by no more that 1 degree, comparing to bank displays and other reported otuside temps. I inquired at the dealership and of course they told me that it took a while for the reading to be accurate. This photo was taken after driving around for several hours.

Interesting, did you recently have the BCM re-flash for the fire recall? Some had issues because there is a tech bulletin about the temp stay at 32 degrees and not updating because the programming requires vehicle speed above 20 mph for the sensor to start updating. Not really what your issue is as stated but maybe related.

Also, to get a more accurate comparison, you might want to get a physical thermometer to measure outside temp as using your phone app, the reporting station for local temp could be miles away and your temp at your truck could be very different.
