Ventilator what did u use to make the Z71 decal stay to the grill? I ordered one and it comes with double sided adhesive tape but I'm not sure that will hold.

Hey I was going to spray my emblems just like that once it warms up! Was wondering, does the plastidip peel right off the chrome surround leaving just the inside "GMC" black? or did you cut the plastidip with a exacto knife between the chrome and the inside first, then peel? It looks like you just sprayed everything, which would save a ton of time masking the chrome off.

Thanks in advance.

Clean the spot good with alcohol first. The adhesive it very strong, but for good measure I used some clear trim adhesive in the holes the pins go into. My grille was off the truck at the time. I can't imagine it ever coming off, even without the glue.

I must have ordered the wrong gm part # because mine has a flat back without pins, only double sided adhesive tape. I can see two spots where the pins should have been but are not there. Do u think it will stick without the pins?

If it is GM Part # 23432559, then yes. If not, not sure. Clean the area good, place badge, wrap rubber bands around it for a night or so, and it should hold just fine if above part #.

I bought emblem GM part #22814072, it's the same minus the two pins in the back.

Picked the truck up Friday and couldn't take the gold against the pearl white.

How hard is it to pull that LTZ emblem off so I can do it next?

I painted my front emblem with Super Maxx spray paint from Wally World. It started chipping several weeks later. I went back to Wally World and bought citristrip paint and varnish stripper to remove it. It started to remove the clear coat on the red emblem beneath. I am taking a razor blade/sand paper to it to clean it up before I plasti dip and glossify;which should have happened from the beginning. So as long as y'all don't do what I did then you should be golden. This picture was the super max. Maybe I should have used a clear coat of some something something....

On the verge of plasti dipping my bowtie this weekend.

Ive wanted to find someone that would make a custom bowtie with the UGA bulldog and willing to pay but im tired of searching and getting nothing. I saw a cpl have texas flags readily available but not much other choices.

Oh well. Im going with black on my truck
