VW pulled out of mexico after a few years, they found that there number of recalls and poor build quality went through the roof

and they never looked back!

Pulled out?

As of mid year 2015:

VW Pueblo

(14,646 employees)
JETTA, JETTA NAR, THE BEETLE,
THE BEETLE CABRIOLET,GOLF,
GOLF ESTATE, engines,
components:foundry
Silao
(663 employees)
Engines
and a little one
Querétaro
(MAN Latin America)
(94 employees)
Buses, trucks
For comparison, VW at Chattanoga has about 2,200 employees building the Passat.
It'll be interesting to see how VW make out with the diesel emissions cheating they've been caught at.

My Mexico built All Terrain seems pretty flawless currently. A lot of Americans work in Mexico, perhaps the upper echelons and quality managers are American. They all have the same specs to follow. I wish GM still made trucks in Oshawa (my 08 was awesome) but, for employment reasons. Magna makes half of the truck anyways lol. Made in America/Canada would be great but, there are useless people on this side of the Mexico USA border that are building our trucks/cars. Pride in our work is slipping in this upcoming generation

2016 Denali just some minor discrepancies so far.

1. Dash plastic piece replaced (bad design they all do it just some worse than others) dealer replaced

post-127028-0-75493400-1482336660_thumb.jpg

2. Door loose chrome trim (seems to be pretty common most people do not notice) dealer replaced

3. Gets better than expected MPG, dealer says they may need to recalibrate the ECM to get the mileage back down to normal :nonod: (not happening)

4. 6.2 with 8 spd runs like a friggin race car (I love it) dealer says the GM Borla Exhaust/CAI have increased the HP at flywheel to around 450HP. Would need to get the restrictive stock intake and exhaust back in place for it to be normal.....

Made with American pride in the heart of Mexico. Had to glue bottom of drivers seat back together, replace USB port in center console. Other wise has been great so far. 6th Chevy truck since 1996. 3 American made, 1 Canadian, and 2 from Mexico.

I went out and asked my truck where it was from...it said something is spanish to me, so I assume Mexico. No worries, we work well with hand signals. Working on teaching each other profanities in other languages.
