Hello,

Sorry if this has been answered, I tried using the search on this forum and it yielded no results... My 6-month onstar trial subscription expires at the end of this month. Any tips on how to negiotiate a better monthly price? How much should I be paying? what kind of deals are out there?

Much appreciated..

Thank you and enjoy your day.

Not aware of any special deals with OnStar. They're a successful company, unlike XM. If you pay for a year upfront instead of month to month you'll save some.

thats true. Onstar whether you think its worthwhile or not offers a service that nobody else does, where is XM is offering something that can be had for free.

I was going to cancel my subscription after my 6 month trail expired last week. While speaking with the rep I asked him if he could consider giving me a deal for the "Directions & Connections" plan. He put me on hold for about 30 seconds and said he could give me the "Directions & Connections" plan for $19.99 a month for six months. Needless to say I took the deal!!!

Don't mean to hijack thread, but very sharp looking truck by the way.

I'm not renewing mine at the end of the 6 months. Don't really see a need for it. I guess it's nice for vehicle recovery in case of theft, but everything else it does, you can do by the OnStar app on your phone (which still works, even after your free trial ends).

A little tip, I canceled my onstar, and accident locked my keys in my truck, well I called them up and said I locked my kid in my truck and they asked me a few questions and still unlocked for free. By law if you vehicle is equipped they have to open it after they verify it's you.

Phone app would solve that....no need to call OnStar and no need to pay for Service
