We have strict rules that you continue to skirt.  Our moderators hide all postings that are not from Supporting Vendors.  They are just doing their job.

Directly from our site guidelines:

"Only Supporting Vendors, who have paid for the exclusive rights to advertise on this forum, may commercially advertise vehicles, products, and services for sale. Any commercial posting done by members who are not a Supporting Vendor will have their post deleted. We also do not allow any posts which solicit personal donations, no matter how worthy the cause."

This has been the rule for 15+ years.

For the record, this company MRT Motorsports is no longer a supporting vendor and has not been for months.

I hadn't seen every post, but weren't they just being helpful and answering questions?  I didn't see any advertising from them.

Honestly as much I have seen them pushing business on here, Im not sure why they are not maintaining a sponsor membership.

I could careless about the sponsorship stuff...now all the updates on 6112s are non existent.

I get it...the forum needs to make money to keep in business.  But these posts I am SURE brought a ton of folks via search engine.  Literally the only thing that comes up on google -- and the thread has been deleted.

Have a 15 ecsb ltz 4x4 with 6.2 and leer cap, have 2"rake now,36.5 front and 38.5 rear, want to leave 1-1/4-1 1/2"rake for tow/hauling. Thoughts on bilstein 5100 set at top and a 1" block in back or 3rd setting an no block in back, stay with 275/55-20 tire. Worried at top height I'd only have 3/4-1inch rake and would be nose high with 2-300lbs in bed?

Looking to lift the front end of my 2014 Z71 CC up a little bit and I am wanting to avoid putting any strain on any of the suspension components. I have read through this entire thread and I have seen that with the 5100 at the top setting they seem to ride a little bit more rough, which I am not worried about. The thing I am worried about is how they perform in the cold (around -15F temps)? Are they even more stiff?

I really think mine ride stiffer in the cold we've had in Michigan this winter. This is the first winter on these shocks.
The ride, for me at least, had become very choppy feeling.

Then leave it stock, any level whether with a spacer or shocks will still add some strain. The closer you stay to stock the better, so a 1.8" level will be better than those who go 2-2.5. I wouldn't worry much about it though if you are staying on the lower side and you aren't beating it up off road all the time (ie it is mainly a DD on the street) and you don't go overly large with the tires, weights or wheel offset then it should last for a long time before anything needs replacing.

BTW, good on you for reading and doing research. So many read a page or two if that then just ask a repetitive question as they are lazy so kudos!

Thanks for the response. As mentioned above it sounds like the ride is a little more harsh when it is cold. I just don't like the appearance of how the truck sits but I do like the ride quality of the z71. I'll most likely try to find a leveling kit that raises maybe an 1-1/2" or so

Usually I read these and other forums almost obsessively so I don't make people mad for repeating other things

I have a 1" block in the rear with 5100s in both the front and rear, set at the hghest setting in the front. There is no ass dragging with 2-300 lbs. I'll try to get a pick of around 2000lb in the bed to show you that it is not drastic...

Yes, I know - well above payload.

Sorry guys. I read through 12 pages of this thread and couldn't find what I was looking for. Here's my question. I installed a 2" rough country level with the stock Rancho shocks. The ride got much stiffer. I really don't like it. What way is the best way to go here? Would installing the 5100 on the stock setting give me a better ride? Or is there a different shock that would smooth me out? OR..Just remove the lift all together? Thanks.

Any shock designed to run 2" longer than stock should improve your ride. They get stiffer for more control once taken outside of the designed normal ride area.

While I'm hear, the 6112 kit still coming soon, like the last 2 years? What a joke, makes me want to buy anything else for allowing this to happen.

I've seen them listed as available within the last few days so they must be out finally.

    • Fred was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred young pullets, and ten roosters to fertilize the eggs He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced. This took a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells and attached them to his roosters. Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing. Now, he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report by just listening to the bells. Fred's favourite rooster, old Butch, was a very fine specimen, but this morning he noticed old Butch's bell hadn't rung at all! When he went to investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing, but the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover. To Fred's amazement, old Butch had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring. He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one. Fred was so proud of old Butch, he entered him in the City Show and he became an overnight sensation among the judges. The result was the judges not only awarded old Butch the "No Bell Piece Prize," but they also awarded him the "Pulletsurprise" as well. Clearly old Butch was a politician in the making. Who else but a politician could figure out how to win two of the most coveted awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the unsuspecting populace and screwing them when they weren't paying attention. Vote carefully in the next election, you can't always hear the bells.
    • Can someone confirm if the GM order workbench terminal is able to validate a custom build sequence:   1) Initialize the Allocation Base: Open a new vehicle build queue, select the 2026 Chevrolet Suburban 4WD, and pick the High Country (3LZ Preferred Equipment Group).   2) Select the Diesel Powertrain: Go directly to the engine configuration screen and choose RPO code LZ0 (3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel). Ensure it maps to the MHS 10-speed automatic transmission.   3) Deploy the Seating Swap: Navigate to the Interior Options screen and enter RPO code ATT to replace the standard captain's chairs with the power-release 60/40 bench seat. Because you are not trying to force a separate luxury or air-suspension bundle, the standard, premium D07 Fixed Floor Console remains active. The system will accept this change immediately without triggering a warning message.   3)Apply Heavy-Duty Hauling Capability: Input RPO code NHT (Max Trailering Package). The commercial terminal will automatically bundle the required trailering hardware and software modules to support the diesel engine's maximum towing capacity.   5) Layer the Premium Tech and Glass: Separately add code C3U (Panoramic Power Sunroof) and code UKL (Super Cruise) to the order screen.   6) Run the Final Validation: Click the "Validate Order" button at the bottom of the interface.
    • Spent the last hour or 2 googling and reading up on the spacer thing. I don't like the loss of thread contact on the slip on spacers, but it appears you can get "extended" lug nuts that reach into the hole of the wheel to get back the lost threads. Looks like the only true hubcentric slip on spacers are at least .375". I'd want as little as I could get away with and don't want to cause other clearance issues going any thicker. Bora seems to offer what appears to be a well made .375" spacer and extended lug nuts. I searched here and did find a couple threads recommending Bora. But not cheap. By the time I buy spacers and lugs, new TPMS sensors, then pay a tire shop to install the new sensors, I suspect I'm going to be in over $400. Thinking about running out and getting some washers to put behind the wheel to see if .375" is enough to clear calipers, turn lock to lock without rubbing, and to see if the wheels/tires look strange pushed out a little. This would just be to check fitment.
    • Roadmaster makes some quality parts; I have their sway bar. I considered the RAS, but I ended up bagging. I didn't know what kind of ride I'd get with RAS, and the bags have interior jounce bumpers, so I can run 0 pounds pressure. I figured I'd have the best of normal suspension ride with assist on-demand. But it seems you got pretty much the same in one item.
