I have a 2015 Silverado LTZ and when I use the "rewind" feature to listen to a song again, the song just skips the entire time. I have perfect radio reception and it does it most of the time. I brought it to the dealer and they could not replicate the problem. Driving home it did it again so I took a video of it. I previously owned a 2014 (which GM repurchased from me due to numerous other problems) and I did not have this issue. Chevy is quickly loosing my confidence...

I have the exact same problem, been at the dealer 4 times for that, they said is fix and is not. I have another appointment, after they fix my other issues in a couple of weeks.

Mine too, worked when it wanted to ... Usually didn't. Truck has been at dealer longer then I've owned it for other issues ........

I have a 2015 Silverado purchased in December. Playback / Rewind worked fine at first, and now at just 5,000 miles it skips like crazy when the vehicle is moving. Works perfectly fine when vehicle is stopped or not moving. The faster it goes, the worse it gets.

The vehicle is at a GM dealer now. At first the dealer called technical assistance and they were told the radio is working "normal" and "as specified", which is a JOKE. The dealer was flabbergasted at GM's response. I have filed an official complaint with GM. Will update when this disaster is over.

Well, I'm making progress. GM Dealer gave me bulletin PIC6110B: Timeshift Audio Playback Choppy Distorted.

Says "Customers may comment that intermittently Timeshift audio is choppy, distorted, skipping, or garbled.

"RECOMMENDATIONS: Please do not replace any parts or make any repairs."

"Please communicate to the customer that this condition is a normal operating characteristic of their vehicle."

What a bunch of bunk! GM can't won't fix it!

Effects: 2015 Buick Lacross, Regal, 2015 Cadillac ATC, CTS, EL, EScalade models, SRX XTS, 2014 Silverado, 2015 Silverado, Colorado, Corvette, Impala , Suburban, Tahoe, 2014 GMC Sierra 1500, 2015 GMC Sierra, and 2015, GMC Canyon, Yukon Models.

Hi Jerricat,

I am sorry to hear that you have some concerns with your timeshift audio in your new Silverado and understand you are frustrated. If you would like additional support by reaching out to your dealer on your behalf, please send me a private message with your VIN, mileage, contact information, and the dealership you are working with.

Best,

I am curious, did Chevy/GMC dump time shift in the 2016's?

When I was researching and configuring my order I was very excited when I read about this technology as I was coming from an '07 Avalanche.

From what I can tell I do not have this capability in my LTZ.

I think I heard it's not available on 2016. I am not 100% sure. I never use it on my 2014 but I'll have to give it a try.

Not sure...it was on the 2015 and is a HUGE DOG. Doesn't work for crap. Comes with all the bells and whistles with the Navigation and upgraded screen / stereo.

Here is a great video that shows GM's TimeShift feature....Although they are having major issues with it.

I don't think the 2016's have it. My wife's 2015 Tahoe has it but my 2016 LTZ Silverado does not. I'm coming from a 2012 Dodge Ram and I so miss the radio in that truck. I could rewind, replay with no issues. You can even see what is playing on the other stations and not have to change the station to find out what is on the other stations. I can't believe how crappy this MyLink is. What a joke! Why is this so hard? Dodge has had these features for years!!!!!!!

Time shift works great in my 14. Best thing about it is you can hit "pause", shut the truck off, come back after picking up your favorite cold drink and a beef jerky from the 7/11 and hop back in, start the truck up, hit play and carry on where you left off. Take that Apple car play!

I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado LTZ Plus, I payed $70,000 for this and I have already replaced an alternator and Battery at my own expense because i was 2,000 miles over my bumper to bumper warranty. my Play button doesn't even show up, only pause, Rewind and Fast Forward will not work as well. I am getting tired of all the bullshit that this truck has given me. I think all of us CHEVY TRUCK OWNERS with these issues should start a buyback recall. I think we all should file a lemon law action lawsuit against CHEVY. I have been a Chevy truck owner since 1976, and this is not what i expected to deal with when i waited two years to special order my truck in 2013. if anyone knows how to get this repaired please let me know. oh by the way my wife and boys almost died because of the alternator going dead at the speed of 65 mph on the freeway and she had no control of the vehicle because it completely shut down at the speed of 65 mph. luckily she puled over safely with no power and with no accident. but if something serious would of happened believe me i would be owning CHEVY and then i would shut them down.

Love my Truck though until something else goes wrong.
