First truck ever, seeking info on an air intake

I just bought my first truck ever, a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 with the Carolina elevation package. I went with the 4.3L, V6 as I don't plan on ever doing any real towing, I just wanted the function of a truck and it's a bad looking vehicle! My question is, will a K&N 63 series air intake, that works on the 2014 models, work on the 2015 models? K&N doesn't currently make one for the 4.3L for the 2015 models but I was told if it fit the 2014 then it will fit the 2015. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

What problem are you trying to fix?

Not really trying to fix a problem, just want the added benefits of a CAI but like I said, K&N's representative said they don't make one for the 4.3L yet, only 5.3 and up for the 2015 models. Although, I am having a slight backpressure loss issue with a dual exhaust I put on, this may help a bit too.

Check out Airaid and see if they make an MIT tube for your truck. I have one on my 06, and i like it a lot.
