Why? Guessing this is there to get the trans up to temp faster and then open and allow it to circulate.

What about for towing a 5k camper. Trans temps are around 195 to 200, this seems like it would be perfect for lowering these temps in the middle of a hot summer day. Advise??

Added a dual USB adapter for the rear seat passengers. Very easy to do, total time took me about 20 minutes and that's because I finished my beer and had to get another one. :) The rear panel just pops off, grab it from the bottom and pull out. It then kind of lifts upward, unplug the 12 volt plug and that's it. Drill your hole, mount the adapter and tie into the plug wires on the right side of the panel. Or you can run them to the front if you want a constant 12v running to it. I wanted it to turn off with the truck so I just tapped into the wires there on the other plug. I didn't take pics while I had it off but it comes off so easy, I can take pics and post if anyone wants to see how I did it.

So Friday I picked up a couple 1N4004 diodes for some light mods ($2), a 2"x12"x8' for bed divider ($11), two rattle cans of PlastiDip for the 2"x12", my front/back bowties & front "Z," 12ga cable terminal ends to relocate my AM/FM antenna under the hood ($5). Some of these were originally not listed in my list about a month ago. Should be completing these in the next few days and will post pictures soon.

Any chance you have a picture of where the CB antenna got mounted? I'm looking to install one soon

Set up my lights out in the SUN (62F, feeling like 85). Fogs on with HI's, and cargo on with reverse. Thanks for the photos Spurshot & PGamboa (respectively). Took me about 30 minutes on the headlights/fogs, ended up having to remove the brown plug, disconnecting my remote start connections, and my second diode. And about 10 minutes and two attempts/operational checks to get my reverse/cargo lights connected, with the first headlight diode (was salvageable).

LO's before mod

Lo-beam all lights on HI pre-mod

HI's before mod

HI-beam all lights on HI pre-mod

ALL FWD WHITES w/ HI's ON, after mod

ALL fwd white lights on post-mod

REVERSE/Cargo mod

Reverse/Cargo light mod

2x12x96 in bed of truck on the way home after buying diodes and 2x12, with some other odds/ends.

2x12x96 for bed divider mod

Antenna got mounted in the forward right stakehole, cable ran down the stakehole, (going to be routed) along right longeron of truck frame, into drain plug just inboard of rt longeron, under carpet, into center console to CB.

Mounted My CB Antenna

Mounted My CB Antenna

CB/scanner (both awaiting antenna routing and connection) in center console. Power is going to be routed under console up to stereo power, or some other ignition/accessories controlled power source.

Installed My CB & Scanner

Installed My CB & Scanner

I'm also going to readjust my CB/scanner on the rack, closer to the driver. I have some black foam to encase around them. External speakers, maybe routed to aux-in or external speaker(s) to be mounted between headrest and seatback. Looking at going wired "hands-free" with my CB.

If you are going to plastidip your rims make sure you watch a few YouTube videos and do it correctly. Make sure you put on several Coates. I bought a set of gm rims on Craigslist that had plastidipped but the guy put it on too thin. When I went to remove the plastidip so I could redo it the areas it was sprayed thin did not peel off. I had to use a pressure washer and paint thinner to get it off the rims.

99% of the time it's to due with poor prep. Thin coats definitely do not help but poor prep will cause you massive pains when you try to remove the dip.

It's easy to spray it on, you have to spend time to prep. It's not quite bodywork but any bodyman will tell you all the work is in the prep and it determines your end product quality.

Just placed my order, hope they fit my '16. Amazon said they didn't, but we shall see.

Didn't see it yet, but other than free, one of the cheapest mods is the

Fog Light on automatically with your low beam headlights.

Under $1 for a Diode Jumper and

5-6 minutes to jump Slot #10 Fog Lights into Slot #22 Parking Lights in the power source under the dash just above your brake pedal (or just behind the hood release latch).

Pull out little brown electrical "box" place diode into #10 slot and other end into #22 slot.

Put little brown jumper back into it's motherboard and done.

Are you still able to turn the fogs off separately?
