Ravenkeeper Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Alexantics- sadly no, that would be the coolest thing in the world if they were. I did the ceiling lights with some colored film slipped between the bulb and light fixture. I think bc-Chris did the same. RavenKeeper-it was super easy and cheap to do and it is what I get the most compliments about so you should definitely Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Let me correct my last, it has been on my list since about the first of the year. But yeah, definitely will, hopefully, before I go to San Diego next month. I have to GET OUT OF THIS DESERT and get one last beach trip in before it starts getting cold again. 1
Neallynein Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 (edited) Last night I wrapped the front Bowtie emblem in Carbon Fiber. It was a 2' x5' roll for $20 on amazon. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MA6PZER/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Edited August 2, 2017 by daneal 3
Ravenkeeper Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Last week, I tried to add a diode to get my puddle lights on with my interiors, Pin 1 -> Pin 8 on the grey plug on BCM. Closed the doors, locked it, watched the interiors dim out, and the puddles stayed on. Asked around, did some digging, and everything/everyone said it should have worked perfectly. SO, today, I tried it again...... WORKED AS ADVERTISED!!!!!!! 2

TubesteakBoogie Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Finally went for it and plastidipped the taillights, 3rd brake, and bowties for ~$12. Never used plastidip before and am a horrible painter, but it was cake. I previously used decal overlays on the bowties, but they weren't holding up in this florida heat. The taillights are too bright red my taste so i wanted just a little darker, but still safe ( Not trying to have someone slam into me because they cant see them illuminated). Taillights are 1 layer of black and 3 of glossifier. 2 coats of the black makes it solid black so i stuck with 1. its has that somewhat spotty spray paint 1st coat look, but i can live with it. The bowties are 3 layers black and 3 glossifier and look so much better than the vinyl overlays. I don't have any complaints yet. 1
Ravenkeeper Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 So about $22 for the cord and $20 for the mount. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk What did you do about the suction cup?

VdellaV Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Nice job on the build. Thank you! I'm installing Surplus Ammo Cans as ToolBoxes on it this week! another 50 bucks for both of them
TubesteakBoogie Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 There's a guy nearby me who's willing to trade a black powder coated front and rear bumper for my chrome set so I decided to test out a black bumper by plastidipping my chrome one. Only did the front for now. His will have the fog light cut outs, which mine do not. 4
