BigBlueLB756 Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Buying one of these and not oiling up the driveway anymore!!!!! https://www.autozone.com/shop-and-garage-tools/oil-drain-pan/garageboss-12-5-qt-height-adjustable-the-reacher-drain-pan/721214_0_0

What I did was buy one of the Fumoto Valves and it has a nipple on it. When it comes time to change oil, I put a length of tygon tubing on it and drop the tubing into the drain pan. No more mess!! 1

After fighting with hot oil spray each time changing the oil on my 08 Silverado I added the Fumoto at the first oil change on my 2015 sierra. 2

I really like the idea but I don't trust brass in our heavy salt sprayed roads. Very neat - would totally jump on this if I lived in warmer climates.
Grjfer Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Having spent 10 years in the Navy I have no issues with brass & salt. Many over the road trucks running them with no issues either.
Goinovr Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 (edited) These are what I am using for reverse lights... No image blur but they are very bright and will wash out the camera a bit. They light up my neighbors house quite well when I back out of the driveway at night. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HRI948Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Edited January 29, 2018 by Goinovr 1

What’s everyone doing about the oil filter change? On the V6 its above the plastic shield and I catch heck trying to remove the filter without making a mess. Filter relocation?
