I hate mounting GPS' to my windshield, so I bought this cup holder mount. Works awesome for my Garmin! $20

Wonder if this would work for a smartphone as well. Can't stand using windshield mounts unless they are up high like the one for my V1 detector.

It would, but then you would have to constantly be looking down to see the phone.

Good luck with that. Jdm leds are cheap and burn out all the time. Id stick with some name brand ones for the peace of mind.

I've had my JDM's for few months now and I've never been disappointed, I even have a couple buddies who also have them no problem. JDM is a good company and has good customer service so far.

I bought the JDM's on your recommendation for the reverse lights, which I love but I also bought the Phillips for the brake lights and was not impressed. I am going to send them back to Amazon and get the JDM's for the backup, front turn signals and the cargo light. The JDM 800 lumens were quite bright and didn't need to pay $10 more for the 1200 lumens.

For the breaklights did you have to buy a load resistor or something similar? Did you do the turn signals by any chance ?

You probably want this then: https://www.amazon.ca/Macally-MCUPMP-Adjustable-Automobile-Smartphones/dp/B007GNNH3Q/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1484181731&sr=8-10&keywords=gps+cup+holder+mount

The one I have clips onto the Garmin GPS. You would not be able to use it for a smartphone, but the link above is what you'd want.

I went a different route and returned the bulbs. I ended up buying Winjet taillights and using the JDM's for the reverse lights. But to answer your question, yes you will need resistors for the turn signals or you'll have turn lights on steroids and receive service errors on the bulbs in the DIC.

Good idea!

1) black bow tie on the grille

2) carbon vinyl bow tie on the steering wheel

3) Philips LED reverse lights

4) Morimoto LED switchback turn signals

5) magnetic phone holder

6) 128gb USB stick for movies and music

7) LED under rail bed lighting

8) Husky headlight and fog light protector film

9) center console organizer tray

10) k&n airfilter

11) k&n cabin filter

12) polished bow tie exhaust tip

13) chrome tailgate handle

14) driver assist handle

15) frame plugs

For about $50 and/or less, I have completed or am going to K.O. in next few weeks.....

1) Removed my AM/FM antenna whip and will be installing "hidden antennas," when they come in. Cleaner look and I don't really listen to AM or FM, but will need them for my scanner.

2) Front Tow Hitch - found a hitch for $50 and will be installing it, hopefully, in the near future.

3) Mounted my CB antenna on the front right stake hole (about $40 invested in parts for my previous truck & $80 for the handheld router, that was not needed).

4) Tow hitch brake light - modified it to only light up when the brakes are applied. $20 for the light assy & couple of hours of research to cut the correct wire.

5) Bed lighting (#7) - Spent about $30 so far, including S/H, and looking to spend another $5 for j-box connector today/tomorrow. Should have all parts by next weekend.

6) Magnetic Phone holder (#5) - completed this one before Thanksgiving, $20.

Other mods for less than $50-ish that I'm looking at doing....

1) Window tint across top 4-5" of windshield, down even with the lane departure camera housing. Should cost less than $30.

2) #1 front/back

3) #3

4) #10&11

5) MAYBE #15

Installed a wireless charger in my center seat console. Who says you need a full center console to have one. I got tired of having to plug and unplug my phone all the time. Now I can just throw it on the console. Wireless charger was like $3 bucks online, from China of course but it works great. The red and blue cables are extras for my work iPhone and my wife's phone. 2fb94e8c71e34d25afd8357a22771793.jpg424c97d5c56a642def985e10d9a5d38d.jpg
