We ran into this before in a different thread. Instead of coming on here and bashing and complaining, take it back

to the dealer and give them a chance to make it right. If they don't, then you can air your grievances.

Everybody makes mistakes at one time or another.

Are you kidding? You call a job like that a MISTAKE???? :noway:

A 5 year old girl could've done better ....

OP I would get the dealer to have the company that did it clean everything head to toe. Also, consider doing your own rust prevention in the future for much less than they swindled you for that package they charged you for. Boeshield or Fluid Film over everything BUT the frame. Anything on the wax will eat the wax right off.

If the frames are OEM wax coated how is any undercoating material going to stick and cure?

Aftermarket undercoatings (Ziebart) sprayed on the frame actually allow the GM wax to come off faster as it has no time to cure. The oils used in the undercoating eat that wax right off. Notice those lift pad spots where it took it right down to bare metal. Now, normally, yes a lift pad can booger the wax, but not strip it down to nothing as the undercoating as allowed it to do.

My advice...pay a couple bucks to have an attorney draft a Letter and send to the dealer with a copy to GM Zone Manager. That is a messy shitty job probably done by a $10 an hour lot bit. That job will cost you down the road as it is not applied properly and could end up holding moisture and rusting underneath and you would never know it.
She then for shoddy workmanship. Phone calls and visits will get you nothing. Deal is done and dealer will do nothing for you. Sad but go hard at them. I would want that stripped completely and back to factory however they have to. Anything less is unacceptable

GM zone manager won't be able to help with the dealer's aftermarket issue.

If you own a business and one mistake later someone was blasting you online, and letting everybody and their mom know that your work sucks and not to go to you, you would opt for that second chance. We're all humans man. Shit happens.

If I let something like that leave my shop, I would be OUT of business. Plain and simple.

All I'm saying is to let them fix it. If they don't, then post away.

I understand but respectfully disagree. As a small business owner I get one chance to satisfy a customer and if I don't then I deal with the consequences. Anyone that does shoddy work and sends it out the door without inspection or giving two shits about quality can live with it. I am sure it's his way of doing business and most people don't check the work but if you go back and look at the pictures it is terrible, not a couple of blems or a misses area but sprayed here and there, places it shouldn't have been sprayed, on the wheels, exhaust .....seriously how can you or anyone defend such shitty work ?

Undercoating is the biggest ripoff a dealer can do. Doesn't do anything it just makes things worse if you're buying a new vehicle do not get it installed

Blasting the business. I dropped $40k not $4k on a truck. Like someone said if you run a business and do crappy work like that you should be out of work. If I posted it just bashing them its one thing. I have the proof posted. I will be taking them to court at this point. Below are the pictures of the "NEW" Wheels they promised me. OH just so you know I went Monday and was told New wheels and tires. When I went back they were the same rims and wheels. That is customer service. Today I went back again to get "New" wheels this is what 1 of them look like. I didn't bother looking at the rest. Again I was told new not used. I still have an We owe you from the dealership and the sales managers go to move was... WE are done doing business with you. But you wrecked my new truck sir, You told me NEW wheels and lied twice now. I'll take the matter up with GM at this point but as a business standpoint YOU do not treat your customers like this, You do not try and screw them over like this, IT will be known. I might even take out a billboard when I'm done. But I actually have respect for GM and have faith they will make good on this although it might take some time. I will give them that opportunity before taking legal action. 3 strikes and your out.....

Buyer beware.....

Unbelievable. Looks like some already obviously failed take-offs and were trying to palm them off as new . Hell of a way to make things right and offer a peace offering . Do a shoddy job and then offer you some junk.

OP- You owe them nothing....At this point, I would seek out an independent resource that can evaluate what needs to be done and provide an estimate. There is no way in hell I would let them near my truck again. As someone that has done body work professionally, I would recommend getting that stripped completely at least off the frame, I am sure they did not do the top of the frame or inside the frame at all....I am still shaking my head when I look at the pics.....

And the wheels....who the fk do they think they are giving you used wheels from out back.....honestly.

I would not hesitate to sue them and more importantly, do online and have a few bumper stickers made up (cost about $10) that say "I got screwed at XXX Chevy".....that will get back to them and some may say that is a waste of time but there is a guy near me that actually had large stickers all over his car detailing what happened to him at the dealership... Make sure you put something on Dealerrater.com, Yelp and anywhere else you can post.....use your post and just copy and paste it everywhere you can, it will cost them business and there is nothing they can do.

I hate this BS that people do and then don't do the right thing.....

My silverado went in to a dealer for a noise in the bed, they said they found the noise and felt it was missing spot welds in the bed.....I told them under no circumstances did I want the bed off the truck but they did anyway, sent it to a body shop on a flat bed where they added about 20 spot welds from underneath that obviously showed on the inside of the bed, burn through. I got it back with some new scratches on the bed and a bunch of weld burns.....I raised hell with GM until they paid for a spray in liner which only covered the problem. Ended up being a tall ligt that was making the rattle......but they gave no shits because it was a new truck and they were up charging GM for all he work.....

Sore subject with me, I have no mercy or understanding, dealers suck and need to be held accountable.

Contact GM with the pics and ask them for a Zone Manager until you get what you want.

Good luck.

Yeah thanks, Working on that. Only issue I can see having is my wife literally just did a GM buy back at another dealership. Happens to have the same District Manager from GM. So of course today the Sales manager made the comment that I had problems there too. Only would have heard that from the him I would think. I'll let it cook for a few days and see what happens but I will be ready to pony up.

Assuming the buy back was over quality issues, one is not related to the other....if they put out a good product or provided better service, would not have happened.

As far as the GM goes, tell him to mind his own f'n business, one is not related to the other.
