Hi forum, I have a 2015 Silverado 1500 WT, with DE2 mirrors (from what I understand above) no power, no heat, manual fold.

I've been looking around a found a guy selling a set of power, heated mirror for the 2014-18.  He also has the full harness for them from his truck.

I also have a found a set of door panels with the mirror adjust on them.

Can anyone tell if I replaced the full harness, if that would work on my truck??

Do you already have the switches installed including the mirror adjust switches on door or the mirror defrost button on the dash? If not, merely replacing the harness will do nothing.

If the price is right, I would do it. Chance the power function may work on the door, maybe even the turn signal. Don't think the heated feature will work because that button is located with the HVAC controls, and you probably do not have the heating grid on your back window. Worst case scenario you will have better looking mirrors.

I will say if you plan on doing any kind of towing, having towing mirrors is a big plus. I switched out mine several years ago because I planned on towing a toy hauler camper and have since picked up a 7x16 covered cargo trailer. Without tow mirrors, I would have struggled quite a bit.

I have the rear defrost.

I have sourced a set of door panels with the mirror adjust switches.  I have the rear defrost on my truck controlled from the factory switch on the dash, which I believe means that that truck should be able to accommodate heated mirrors

I have read this post in great detail, but I still don't exactly follow the information.  I'm taking the door panels with completed harness as well as the mirrors off a 2018. Based on the pins show in pgamboa's photos,  I am thinking that things should operate properly.

Hello everyone, so I have read this process over and over. I have a 2016 gmc sierra 1500 sle, that I just upgraded my mirrors to tow mirrors.

Now I did not have with stock mirrors turn signals, rear cargo lamp, and puddle lights.

I have all of these on the new mirrors. I have followed these write ups and the pin locations, I have added new pins to my stock wire harness from the door to the door jam connector. I added wires to the inside door connector to #3,9,11,41, and the ground for the lights tied into the ground.

Now everything is wired and actually everything works when they should. Puddles come on when unlock and door open, turn signals and cargo light.

But now my question it seems to have a very dim light on the puddles at all times. When running, when off, we'll after the inside dome light is off, when unlocked and locked.

How am I able to correct this?

Would adding the diod inside on the BCM take care of this? Or should I just splice into the dome?

Thanks for any help.

Are these harnesses still an option? I bought my 2016 a couple years ago, and immediately ordered tow mirrors. I have the SLE model, and the tow mirrors I bought offer turn signals / marker lights, along with the clearance lights. Attached is the picture of the ones I have, and I’m just wondering if you offer a plug and play harness for this to at least utilize the functionality of the turn signals / running lights.
