Water in headlights

2012 Sierra SLT 1500 crew cab. Bought certified used. Started immeadiately getting water in left headlight when going through car wash with factory headlights. Went to dealer was told not covered. Bought some Spyder aftermarket projection headlights. Started getting water in the left right away. Wasn't much at first. Now it burned out two bulbs. No easy access to bulb, have to take bumper fascia and grill off and unbolt headlights to reach bulbs. I have had enough of the water getting in. Before you ask, it's not condensation from heat of bulbs. Do I just have bad luck or is it a design flaw in the headlights?

Maybe it's the car wash?

When I was a kid after mudding in my old truck I used to always hit the "soft cloth" car wash, I'm sure the "soft cloth" was about 80 grit by the time I left, something to consider.

I would reinstall the stock GM headlamps & try another GM dealer....

I have the same problem with my 05 in the bottom two. I've sealed them with windshield sealer and there is condensation in them after a car wash. I'm going to try bulb grease to stop the bulbs from burning out but I hate the way it looks

No sense in putting the stock bad ones back on. It's out of warranty now. It could be the car wash though, it's the same one I always go to.

Try hand washing and see it it stops.

That's not condensation, that's a leak. Remove the lamps then remove the bulbs and fill the lamp with water then you can see the gaps or holes. Dry the lamp seal it up where needed with some clear silicone then reinstall and that should be the end of the problem.

Maybe seal around bulbs are shot. Could explain why problem occurred on both sets of housings
