Hi, I'm new here and also to forums.

I have a '00 gmc that the radio t turn off when door opens. I've already replaced the lock actuator, but it still doesn't work. Any ideas where to go now? Thanks.

Did you replace just the actuator part or the whole assembly?

When you open the door does the light come on in the truck?

Just the actuator. No light comes on and the radio stays on. Everything from the pass. door works properly.

The actuator has only one function. That's to lock and unlock the door. The rest of the mechanism tells the door that it's open and closed. I am betting on a broken wire in the door jamb.
