Not only Mn and Wi. Most likely that all states will follow USDOT, which says, uh-uh.

Yeah. I’m in Ohio, same rules, but not highly enforced. Also, being on a separate switch, very easy to turn them off any time. They get drowned out a little bit by the headlights.

They are firmer than the rest, fox or king will ride smoother. Its firm but handles real well. I don't have the reservoirs either, mines just the stage 1.  The less preload the smoother tho, thats why mines at 3 inch and not 3.5.

Installation is pretty easy, not much too it. Make sure u do some sort of control arms tho.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at Icon's stage 2 which includes the UCA's and plan on setting them at 2 or 2.5. The Fox kit from Cognito also came with the UCA's, but those Fox 2.0's Coilovers appear to get replaced with Icon's by a number of folks as they complain about rust and too firm of a feel. Which is why I've gone back and forth. I looked at Fabtech's Dirtlogic kit, but haven't read or seen much info on them.

Any special tools required for the install? Torque wrench?

They do say the kings do ride nice, i have em on my 03 but they were tuned few times to be right.

As for the icons they ride firmer turned up more than 2.5. I do have mine turned up to 3.5 now and am doing a 2 inch block instead of the 1.5 next week.

To install em no fancy tools are needed.

It does look good, but if you were to have a need to visit Michigan, keep them on the down low. If they see them up here, they will enforce vigorously. Red is for emergency vehicles only. If they did come across them, an off switch won't be accepted. They have to be inop. Same with blue, which is for leo only up here. Can't remember if it's Indiana or Ohio that allows blue for their fire responders, which they won't like even with the out of state plates. Planning on amber auxillary myself, for towing. Also want rock lights, which would need to be hidden. Mostly for getting guns and gear in and out of the truck when it's dark. Don't want tired hunting partners stumbling around and tripping.

Thanks for the insight, will do. I did pass an Ohio Trooper today and a local cop, no issues from either. But I can appreciate that each state (and each cop) may look at it differently. I’m debating whether to switch them out (I’ve got terminal connectors on each light, so it would not be a problem). Time will tell. But I do appreciate the heads up.

They probably won’t mess with you unless it’s later in the night. Perfect PC for a stop to check if you’ve been out drinking.

[emoji817]. I definitely will not have them on late at night. The drinking part is not an issue bcz I typically am utilizing my CCW, but I still don’t want to invite a problem or concern.

I got a few little things today. I got my front doors tinted to match the back doors, added a little patriotism to the rear window, and de-badged the tail gate.

Those that de-badge, did you all de-badge the whole truck? I'm in debate whether to remove the Trail Boss stickers and Z71 badges. I actually kind of like the Z71 badges, so I was thinking of just plasti-dipping them instead.

I'll eventually get the exhaust tips painted black either on my own or after-market.spacer.pngspacer.png
