Needed some dirt to fill in around our new well.  I could have used a little more and might go get it tomorrow.  I didn't think this was going to be 2,500lbs of dirt.  I must say, it road really nice. :)

While installing my new bed cover I realized the rear stake pockets would be halfway covered up, so I bought some caps for the stake pockets.  Shortly after doing this my wife attempted to climb into the back of the bed to watch our son's baseball game.  It didn't go well, she got upset, and I was on the doghouse.  Still trying to figure that one out since it's my truck.  Anyways, she told me to fix it.  I decided to install the pole/handle that is available for the trucks with the multipro tailgates.  It took my dealer a little work because GM has some stupid thing going on where it's on indefinite backorder, but if you can place an order with a VIN number then they'll get it to you asap.  He built on truck on GMC's website and ran an inventory search to get the VIN.  Everything arrived today, and this was one of the easiest installs I've ever had to do.  Right up there with changing the reverse lights to LED.  Btw, this install just barely fits with the Retrax bed cover.  Parts needed are the pole/handle, a mounting bracket, 2 nuts, and 1 bolt.  Total cost with tax will set you back about $250.

Btw, wife gave this a try and is satisfied.

Not bad at all!  Did this come with the needed hardware (2 nuts & 1 bolt) when you got it from the dealer?  I'd like to do the same with my 2019 Sierra

Removed the terrible wood grain trim and replaced with the GM 84458971 interior trim kit.

Were the removal of the wood grain trim and install of new trim difficult?  About how much time did it take?  What tools need etc?  Thanks for any info!

Pic before dealer Blackout package:

Enamel rattle canned and baked the exhaust bezels:

After dealer Blackout package and painted bezels installed:

IMO, exhaust bezels and fender emblems should have been part of the Blackout kit, GM is chintzy.

I like the flush fit and that my floor mats are still full length.

This looks interesting. Did your truck have the smaller under seat storage before this? Interested in how this replaces what came in my truck since there’s so much more storage space with this.

My RST had nada....looked at the one GM offered but it was too expensive for me for what it is. Installation was super easy.

RealTruckdotcom had the best price on the Husky Gearbox. I chatted up a sales rep and secured a better price than was listed. I was able to save several more bucks that way.
