What did you pay for your truck?

Recommended Posts

Looking to purchase a 2020 Chevy 1500 WT.  Looking for a good deal and wanted to run it by all you before heading into the dealership:

MSRP is at $33,190

Rebates: $4000 Customer Cash + $1000 Costco

Trade in Allowance: $4000

Total Price, before TTL: $24,190

My OTD goal is $20k - Is that too far of a reach?

there is more profit on higher end models which is usually why discounts are bigger.....idk your tax where you live but you will know when your too low......they don't respond

over 30% off on WT.....they will ask you if your on medication, lol

forgot you have trade as well but still seems like bit of reach...

Appreciate the response.  Might be more realistic to ask for 24k OTD

Yeah, I do have the trade, so I could push for a tad more on the trade.  Seems like the realistic number is 24k OTD

Also, 2021's are about to be out, so it might make sense to wait for them.  Unless they can give me a better deal since once I take the truck, it will be instantly a year older.

Hey all,

in the market for a 2020 trail boss lt crew cab 4x4

test drove on the other day, MSRP 55k.

realistically, what should i be looking at discount wise before TTL?  i know june we have $5500 incentive+1k costco..

is it wild to think i can get 8k off before incentives, bringing truck down to 40500 +ttl?

in in Northern California.

thanks!

I am currently working numbers on a 2020 AT4 6.2L with Tech Package, AT4 Preferred, and Driver Alert I&II...

Can't get them to budge at all from here. Truck is currently sitting at event code 3800 (we are waiting on the VIN) and probably 2-3 week from delivery at this point. I have been searching high and low and simply can't find anything else. Seemed like pure luck I could even get my name on this one...

try to find the invoice. I think I've used Edmunds or cargurus to 'build' the truck I want and found their invoices are within $10 of each other. i'd then see if the dealer wants to honor their discount as well as the rebate.

the dealers have the customers by the midsection right now. limited inventory-and will be for a while, along with small manufacturer rebates, and reasonably high demand.

Spot on... Definitely not the best time to buy.

MSRP vs Invoice:

Estimating 3% (~$1900) dealer holdbacks, the ~$3900 difference between MSRP and invoice, and the current market/inventory, I feel pretty good about getting the extra $1000 dealer discount and the overall deal. I still want to talk to them about extended warranty and see what I can do on that front as well...

Anyway your employer does anything for GM? There is a supplier discount.  You could also have a friend or family that works for GM/vendor.  They  can share the discount.    I just bought a 20 crew cab 3.0 over the weekend.  On a msrp of $51835  Supplier discount was $2932.

inventory is really low....some  dealers don't even have any trucks to sell around here, some only have a few....and some only WT are left......crazy
