How are 2019 silverado sales?

I live in So Cal where gas prices are at $4+. Since I purchased my RST at the end of Jan, I have only seen 3 other T1s on the road.  Mine definitely turns heads as there aren’t many in the wild. This is the 1st time I purchased a vehicle during the 1st year of a refresh; I’m always looking for others on the road.

First time I've purchased a new model, too.

When I got mine a month ago, I only counted seeing 3-5 others within 2 weeks on my daily commute... and I drive through a very busy corridor of "truck country" here in DFW. Most of those were GMC.

Now, however, I've probably seen 10 within the last 3-4 days alone. All Chevys. I think the rebates in late March finally brought some buyers out.

I have seen a handful of new RST 's on the road and only one other AT4 ( black onyx ) in the past few weeks. Haven't seen a Trailboss on the road yet. Driving consistently around Chester County PA, Newark DE and Ceciltucky MD. Most around here go used diesel pre-emissions.

I average seeing about 4 or 5 of them a week now. Some days I might see 2 or 3 on the road and then I don't see another for a couple of days.  Same with the new Rams. Some days I see a lot, others I don't see any.

I just saw a black TB on the way to lunch, then a black AT4 on the way back, ha! Seeing many more T1 on a daily basis now.

Ram has outsold Chevy the last two quarters. I swear I've seen more T1s than new Rams around the Raleigh area though. Maybe that's because I'm looking for them.

Ram is on pace to outsell both GM twins by end of year.  If sales remain the same by end of year , I could see GM working on a refresh after 2 model years like they did on the 14/15 models.

GM needed to hit a home run with these new trucks and they didn’t.

I’ve started to see quite a few of them recently and a fair number of trail bosses. Surprisingly, I’ve seen quite a few of the LD carry over models on the road as well.

Well, I haven't really been looking, but the only other I saw in my small rural County, was a Black High Country.

Ram is selling the old version of the 1500 alongside the new one, that's undoubtedly helping.

The new one isn't as ugly and blah as the new Chevy/GMC.  That is what is helping them sell more.

Looks are subjective, however reliability and fuel economy are not. The electronics in the new Ram are an absolute mess right now.  The fuel economy is also abysmal and far under EPA predicted MPGs.  I wouldn’t touch one for 35% off MSRP.
