Factory GM spray in bedliner, just my thoughts on it.

Mine turned out well, not impressed with some of the prep work (they sprayed over the VIN tag on my tailgate, thanks buttholes) but otherwise very well done, very rugged, and looks fantastic in color match as well. I love mine too!

I guess my only complaint is that the spray on is slippery, I put three anti skid rugs down n it's help big time

GM does the liners off site. Fort Wayne has a building a road over from the plant. Ground Effects LTD is who sprays them for GM, Ultimate Linings is the brand. Ultimate Linings also does the Ford and Ram spray liners.

If that's the truth, then the beds aren't sanded. I saw a Line-X video where they compared Ford Spray in liner. Once it was cut, it peeled right out.

I wish I had the option to not have it on the truck but it comes with the package. I guess we will see how well it holds up. I know you will ask, why do you need it sprayed up under the bed rail. I probably don't, but it could have at least went up a little higher under there than just cutting off at the bottom of where the rail edge hangs over into the bed, it isn't even painted black like the rest of the truck. Just the primer like what you see on the underside of the body.

It kind of looks like they take the truck, tape off everything but the bed and then robot arms come in and spray the liner and that is it, which is probably exactly how it is applied. I wonder if they even sand the bed.

Again, just my thought on this. Considering what one pays for these new vehicles, one would think there would be a little better quality on something like this.

I doubt they sand it. Ford doesn't before applying their factory bedliner.

I checked the bedliner on my 19 AT4 and it's sprayed up under the rails. It's not as thick as The Line-X I had in the past, but it's thick enough for homeowner use.

I've had a few.. LineX, Rhino liner.. My friend did my Rhino and put ti on extra thick.. I'd say the GM is almost as thick. I'm happy with it.. The only difference I've noted is that it's more slippery than the other brands..

That video has been debunked. It's on youtube. Chevy edited it and doctored it to get the results they wanted.

The process of applying a liner involves scratching the hell out of your bed. Dont get one when new - use the truck, then have one sprayed a few years later so its just like new again...

Unfortunately some option packages come with the spray in liner so that's not a choice for everyone..

W/ that said my truck is going on 4 years old and 70k miles, I am not easy on my truck and I have had no issues...

Don't think Line-X warranties it on a beat up bed. I might be wrong.

Factory spray on Bedliner on my 2017 Chevy Silverado wearing the paint off tailgate where the gate and box meet. Bare metal! Only 4500 miles on it. Spray looks like it overhangs the box. Going to call the dealer about warranty coverage. Happen to anyone else? Solution?
