So, I have 300 bucks burning a hole in my pocket....what should I buy for the truck? I already have a tonneau, all weather mats, and tools....what should I jump on now? Bull bar? Lights? Any suggestions

I agree with dominatorZ71. I had a hole burning in my pocket after Christmas and got the S&B CAI for my silverado and love it

No no grass hopper. Search face book under hpt tuner. They post up around 200 to 300 and sell in minutes. Unlock the tune ask for a free tune. Nothing will add as much power be dollar. And everything from codes to tune are in your hand. Most smiles you will ever see. From a mod.
IMHO Cai over than noise does nothing.

Money is the root of all evil. Send it to me so your truck doesn't have to carry that awful burden.

True, and lack of it is the biggest problem!   I find shopping for mods to  be a major part of the enjoyment of truck ownership.  Rather than ask for ways to spend $300, Op could bank his money and wait until he finds something he  really wants or needs.  This forum generates many ideas.  A lot of them will never hit my priority list,  but there is a lineup in my head for $300 mods!

I vote cheap exhaust mod. Cut out flapper and stock muffler and weld in high flow muffler. I did magnaflow 14909 / 12909. Sounds like a v8 now and I can hear cold starts from in the house. Go to the mods forum for more info.

l looked into intakes and came to the conclusion they don’t do hardly anything for performance unless you get a tune afterwards. I won’t tune till my warranty is up. I did the free mod to my stock airbox and cut out a small hole adjacent to factory fender hole for a bit more air

Blackbear performance did an intake test and results were mixed. Just changing the intake tube did next to nothing. The performance intakes have a larger fender opening but the stock fender is partially blocked by metal so you aren’t going to see the advertised increased flow rates unless there is another opening in airbox which would be in engine bay.

Do some reading and see if you feel the need for a Oil Catch Can...may not be a visual mod but it is (IMO) a very functional one. Mine caught this in 100 miles...imagine 10 times this much in 1000 miles...

This will be my very first post-warranty mod along with an unlocked TCM from HPT:

Save your $300 and put it in the bank. Don't let money burn a hole in your pocket. Just sayin

I agree! But sometimes it's the situation you're in. You're doing everything you can to make sure that you and your family is taken care of and then you saved up something to spend for fun. And you should do it!
