The 2019 GMC Terrain has earned a spot on Parents Magazine's 10- Best Family Cars List. The only GM to make the list, the Terrain was noted to be "...small but mighty." Looking for a bit of support validating the Terrain's family-friendliness, the author called upon child-passenger safety technician Abbie Patterson, owner of Super Car Seat Geek. Patterson offered, “(Terrain) offers an ample amount of legroom for many taller drivers even when a forward-facing car seat is installed behind them,” The author also liked the Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Parents Magazine also illustrates well the Terrain's capabilities by explaining what size IKEA torture device (excuse us, we mean) furniture will fit inside.

If I didn’t know much about cars or there’s a fairly new car on the market that I may be interested in. I would look at sales numbers and repeat sales numbers. If it was a new vehicle or a redesigned and I had to have it I would buy extended warranty. We did that with our Genesis 12 years ago. It’s the best all around family vehicle we’ve ever owned. We’re enthusiast it clicks all the boxes. If you’re an appliance driver a popular model will do. Even the boring cars are upping the performance game these days. So picking a vehicle where the dealer is the closest is probably the best choice.

But did they fix the oil burning? Why a short life unrepairable CVT for FWD? God help the consumer.

Chevrolet Debuts Next-Gen 2025 Equinox - God Help The Competition | GM-Trucks.com

Nice looking vehicle but the 1.5 is such a dog. I was blessed with one as a courtesy car.

They need to get away from these tiny overboosted motors. It may fool the EPA test cycle but they are crap in the real world. A couple years ago they were selling a diesel Equinox that could easily do 40+ MPG and a 2.0 gasser that was actually very quick. The 1.5 is good for neither.

Once upon a GM used to be about the Relentless pursuit of perfection. (3800). Now it is the relentless pursuit of $$$$.

I doubt I will every buy a new GM anything again. Horse is looking pretty **** good right now. At least his leather is real.

So looking at the 2019 reviews and reliability ratings from CR:

They mention the 2.0 Turbo has good acceleration

Good braking

Secure handling

Gets bad marks for

cabin noise, stiff ride, agility, push button gear selector setup, visibility, and interior qualty.

poor owner satisfaction (no surprise there)

64/100 reliability rating.

Surprisingly, it ranks just 3 notches below the Honda CR-V, (expected it to be worse) but several notches above the Toyota RAV-4.  seems to do better reliability wise vs Hyundai, Kia, Subaru, VW, Mazda, Nissan, Ford, and Jeep models.
