I want to replace my factory tires with a more agressive tire. Please show me your pictures of aftermarket tires on factory wheels!

These are General Grabber ATx 285 60 20 on the factory 20" wheels. I had them painted black by a professional shop.

Factory 20" wheels with stock size aftermarket Cooper AT3 4s ....No lift or level.  It's a P rated tire, which rides well, but rated as a heavy duty with a max 50psi rating.

Thanks for posting this. Looks like we have the same truck and wheels. The tires are just on the edge of being ok for me. I have the goodyears. I’d like to swap out for a factory size terra grappler g2 but not sure if it would make enough of a visual difference for me to pull the trigger.

I'm not certain anybody would consider a P (i.e., passenger car) rated tire such as the Cooper Discoverer a more "aggressive" tire.  It's exactly the opposite of an aggressive tire.

It does say please show me you aftermarket tire. Pretty sure the cooper is aftermarket. I do get that it is not more aggressive.

Not more aggressive than what? these are plenty aggressive for driving off-road, in snow, etc. Yet not so obnoxious that they make excess noise or kill your MPGs. For anyone who is more concerned with performance On & Off the road than they are with looks, these tires are perfect.

 

Compare with the crap they put on your truck at the factory.

 

If you are solely looking for the most obscenely large lugs you can find, or you are actually planing to do rock crawling, then look elsewhere.

Get the Nitto’s they will last a long time it’s one of the best in the rain and off road it will actually work. It’s not crazy loud on the road and they come In more sizes the most other brands. It’s down to Nitto and the big brother named Toyo for truck tires that work On and off road.

I'm not certain what tires came as OEM with your truck but I got the DuraTrac's and am thrilled with them.  I've never run anything but BFG AT for the past 25+ years.  I've bought over 24 sets of BFG's over the years and my subjective analysis has always found them to be the best dual purpose tire on the market.  I didn't think I'd like the DuraTrac's but they are an absolutely fantastic tire.  I never thought I'd switch from BFG but for my usage the DuraTrac are a much better tire.  In sloppy, muddy conditions the BFG's ball up as soon as they touch mud.  They also hydroplane with alarming frequency.  The DuraTrac's perform MUCH. MUCH, MUCH better in mud and off roading in general and I'm amazed at how they handle standing water.

 

I think your statement regarding "the crap they put on at the factory" is unfounded specific to the DuraTrac's.  They're a great tire.

You are right. I along with many others were graced with the lovely goodyear SRA's when I bought my off-road capable Z-71. I wouldn't buy those tires for a passenger car, much less for a pickup truck.

 

Duratracs are a completely different ballgame.

How do you like these tires so far? Considering replacing mine with the same.

Kind of hard to follow advice from someone who holds the vanity driven BFG's as the best dual purpose AT tires... You do realize the P part is the rating and not the traction or looks of the tread right? A P rated tire can look the same and perform the same traction as an E rated tires, just not the load hauling part. 

 

BTW, many reviews across many forums and tests don't rate the duratrac highly, especially the durability off road. Most complaints arrange around the lack of tread wear, noise after a ten thousandish miles and the sidewalls being soft and susceptible to cuts off road. Their traction is great, but many other areas are lacking. Most switch to Ridge Grapplers, which seem to the new standard of the hybrid tires (inbetween an AT and MT which is what the Duratrac falls in to as well).

      Not sure about DFM tech but i know there's a stop/start deactivation button.

      I could be interested if they axed cylinder deactivation and at least have a button for stop start. I’m sure the HP numbers will be higher. I would want a longer warranty to help build confidence. I’m a less is more guy as I get older. A V-8 work truck model would be my choice. I know a few outfitters for custom additions I prefer.

      It's official. GMC pulled the covers off the next-gen 2027 Sierra 1500, and we got the first official look. Two new V8s, a 5.7L and a 6.6L built with high-performance Corvette architecture roots. No horsepower or torque numbers yet. The 2.7 TurboMax finally ditches the old gearbox and gets the 10-speed automatic. AT4X moves to larger standard 35-inch tires with front and rear e-lockers, Multimatic DSSV dampers, and heavy-duty Jounce Control Dampers. Over 60 inches of combined display on Denali Ultimate and AT4X, complete with a motorized articulating center screen and an adaptive passenger screen.       Navigating senior years.

      My overnight hospital stay turned into five.  I developed a post operative fever and an erratic  heart rate.  A blood clot in the lungs was the culprit.  This is apparently a common post surgical complication and easily remedied.   I was the youngest in a four bed ward and a Doctor with a Geriatric specialization was in charge of my care.  All of the nurses were good and some were outstanding at dealing with old people.  It was very evident that my age triggered a different level of care!  My advice to any senior going for a hospital stay is to have a trusted family member advocate visible.  If not, you will still be well cared for, but you may discover that your voice  isn't as strong as it once was!
