2021 Refresh

I have heard rumors that the 2021 Model year will have a major interior refresh. Does anyone have the inside scoop on if this is a legit rumor? I would like to know because I need to know if I should hold out and order the 2021.

There's no hard data I've seen, but the 2021 Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban will launch Dec 10th and that has a dramatically new interior from what I've seen so far. Wouldn't be a hard stretch to imagine them updating the Silverado/Sierra with that interior around the same time frame...

[emoji849] Refreshing every year is what drives the price of these things through the roof. They gotta get their money back from the tooling and manufacturing process changes.

Just rumors. GM may offer the dash from the new 2021 Tahoe / suburban.

Remember the GMT900? Two interiors offered. A cheaper truck dash and the same dash in SUV for SLT LTZ Denali.

I’m guessing GM may offer a two dash option again.

They didn’t cross the K2 truck interior with the SUV, they won’t for the T1 either. They want to differentiate the two from now on

I agree, gotta use up all the surplus parts and assemblies in the interim....so offer old alongside new in the last model year......just like 'discontinued '19 K2 Silverado LDs alongside '19 T1 models; discontinued 6 speed V8 AFM's alongside 8 speed V8 DFMs; 'discontinued old gen '16 Malibus alongside '16 new gen Malibus....etc. So why not alongside two dash/interior option until old ones are exhausted and newer version becomes standard?

Probably why no new rumored suspensions or tuning until existing supplier contracts and inventories are exhausted, and newer parts and suspension redesigns are made and tested.

Actually they did cross the two interiors....of sorts...old ones went into the '19LDs and new ones went in the '19 WT/LT/RST/HC models with both being sold at the same time. Couldn't offer both interiors in the same model because the K2 cab is physically different from the T1cab , but they can certainly offer a redesigned dash/interior as a higher cost upgrade if there is a buck to be made from a '21 planned redesign in a '20 IF there is only a facelift to the existing T1 where all physical dimensions of the cab remain the same or if the new Tahoe/Suburban dash is physically compatible with the dimensions of the T1 cab.

I disagree. I believe the new full size SUZ will once again share more of the truck platform.  I can see them using the dash as described.

I wish they would take the Lincoln approach to interior design, im digging what they are producing right now.
