Half of my Christmas Day visitors already had Covid. Two thirds of the rest got the jab. Matter of fact it’s just my wife out of the bunch who  refuses. She actually wants to get the new variant for the antibodies. She’s already talked to our doctor about therapeutics. Got to admire her fearlessness. She even surpasses me in the live free or die.

Welcome back!  Covid has impacted us in many different ways.   My life hasn't changed either but I do abide by all of our local public health mandates.  Some of my activities have decreased and others have increased.  I continue to find changes around us resulting  from Covid that significantly increase our spare time, hence this thread.  Yesterday our province re-instated a bunch of restrictions that will continue to impede my travel and visits to public venues.  I know some consider wearing of masks or receiving an injection life altering but I don't.   Of course this is a matter of semantics.  Masks are required in all of our retail stores and I haven't seen any challenges to this for several months.  This may be considered a change but in itself does not change a single aspect of my life.  It would be  a PITA if I was still allowed to smoke in stores and restaurants but that ship has sailed! 😉

Yesterday I went to a local Ma/Pa butcher / specialty grocer that isn't much larger than a four stall machine shed. It's been clearly marked on the doors now for over two years, "MASK REQUIRED" to enter. They provide wipes and sanitizer. Roped off isles. Floors marked. Everything they can do and more. For awhile it was also only one member from each family (minor children excluded). That was relaxed mid summer 2021. It's even a requirement for employment as are vaccinations. Not state mandated. Store owner required. Zero exceptions. He pays well and there allot of people out of work. Everyone that comes there complies with ease...... This shop is that good.

Except yesterday. Larger than normal holiday crowds. Fella I actually am acquainted with comes strolling in bare faced as you please. Shoulders all back daring someone to knock him off his pedestal. Like a rooster. I saw him enter from the parking lot coming second. We are acquainted by our mechanic and rarely speak so not friends but friendly. He is neither large nor young. Just cocky and disrespectful. He recognized me at the meat counter and shot me a glare of disapproval. No idea if he could see my smile beneath my mask. No one said a word to him other than, "how can I help you.." (withholding the customary 'Sir'). I giggled and he shot a second glance. Never said a word to me just stared as if I should feel something shameful. I did not. He looked around for support and got zero....I giggled again. Quieter this time.

Clearly he was looking for a confrontation and he was rebuffed by the public as hard as decency will demand. I was proud of the staff and the customers alike.

I relayed this to Mrs. Bear when I got home and she reminded me that those that do comply rarely cause any trouble no matter how out numbered they may be. I'd noticed but never really gave it a thought. Well said Mrs. Bear!

A fully vaccinated relative in NYC and her children have caught the Wuhan Flu.  Of course the doctor prescribed nothing for it.  A week later, the kids are fine of course, she's still quite sick.  Seems they'd rather die beholden to their false ideology than take even zinc and vitamin c.

There’s seems to be a battle of doctors now. Therapeutics seems to be the casualty. Even the shots have been reduced to therapeutics instead of a preventative. I take zinc and vitamin C every day. The last go round seems to be between a cold and flu in severity. You would think it’s the beginning. I’m so glad I live in Texas.

It happens. No one said you could not die or be sick if vaccinated. They said your odds dramatically improve. Stats support this every time except among those that disregard the stats. Nothing anyone can do for them.

There are nations in this world where mortality is running nearly 9% across all groups, ages and vaccination status.  Even in the USA the across all platforms, meaning inclusive, it is 1.6% (link below) But those fully vaccinated (2 dose) the rate is under 0.3%. Of course those nations over 5% are nations with low vaccination rates for whatever their reasons. Peru the worst of the worst. 27X higher that fully vaccinated from lowest vaccination percent to fully jabbed? I'll take those odds.

All I have to say on the matter........ I'll present it but I will not debate it......

That man shown in the previous post has something no vaccine can protect against and no medicine can cure.
