Adding USB Port to the center console

Hello, 

 

I have a 2020 GMC Sierre Crew Cab with the bench set flip up console. I want to add USB ports inside of it. 

 

Any ideas or suggestions?

I am also trying to figure this out... I'd like the charge and data so I don't have the wire running out of the dash to plug into my phone.  My 2017 had the usb port in the top part so hopefully the wiring is still there in this one and its plug and play... Anyone with a 2019+ have usb ports in the center console of the bench 40/20/40 seat?

Interested as well, I do like the idea of having the USB ports in the center console to eliminate cable clutter.

Same. I know this is an old thread but it blows my mind that they don’t have more usb ports and a cigar lighter. I have a 2025 Sierra 2500HD and I switched from a 21 RAM 1500 that was way more user friendly. GMC dropped the ball big time on this. Seriously one usb and one usb c in the dash!?!? At Least the Laramie comes with leather bench and more usb plugs. A 6 seater truck needs at least 6 usb plugs. Also storage sucks and there is no lights in the glovebox!!! Oh and the delay from phone to speaker is BS. Common GM! I plan on doing a vlog I’ll post here on my YouTube channel. It’s not all bad but they really dropped the ball on this.

What trim level is your sierra? 

 

Isn't 2500 laramie is mid to upper level trim?
