0 to 60 with the gasser and Allison combo

I'll spoil it.  16.5 straight highway and 15.7 combined with a little city driving.

TFL also has a video out with the new diesel and the all important 0-60.  7.7 @ 5000' elevation.

I don't know about on the 10 speed Fords, but on the 6 speeds while it was the same transmission behind the 1 ton gas and diesel, the gas version had different/fewer clutch packs.

And the 3/4 was completely different for the gas. Still is actually with the new 6.8 gas.

My gas mileage on my drive back home today. 6ppl in the truck with a bed full of stuff but no trailer.

first pic is after mainly country roads around 60mpg.
second pic is after a run on the freeway cruise at 70.

The 10spd better do way better towing because it isn’t any better unloaded.

I’m sure they’ll be close but we’ll see.  Really if the 10spd tows better I’m not too concerned about a little mileage difference, better or worse, but don’t see how it won’t be better towing..again we shall see

I agree, I think the mileage improvement will show up during towing. The gas engine already got respectable mileage with the 6 spd. I wont have my truck until mid summer and I wont pull my fifth wheel until early fall but I will post when I do since my 2021 spent most of its time pulling that same trailer.

My truck would not hit 19 mpg while driving 60 mph with a 50 mph tailwind. Either something wrong with that gauge or something seriously wrong with my truck.

I am an expert at getting good mileage. Gas and brake like an egg is on the pedal and coast to stops when you can and accelerate slowly.

There is very little elevation Change in WI also.

It doesn’t always get that but always at least mid 17’s in those situations.

i would get 17-19 in both my 20 and 22 HDs on highway, it takes some miles to hit that figure though......the city is where HD get reemed....lots of stop lights and stop signs where i live and its around 8 or 9.....

i drive like a grandpa now in town.....its good thing as i would get kinda aggro and it would mess up my day........

With my normal driving style it’s 12ish around town unless it’s ultra cold than it’s in that 10ish range for the stop and go city

After a couple hundred miles on my 24 silverado hd and comparing to my 2021 sierra 2500 gasser, mileage is close. I don't envision any mileage improvement with the 10 speed. Driving around town the new transmission makes the truck drive like my old 05 lly duramax - always feels like it is in the powerband.

I won't be towing my 32' travel trailer until I hit 1k miles and get an oil change done. I loved my 6L90, but I had a couple long hauls that just made me want "more" out of the truck. I really hope the 10spd shines with towing, that's why I bought it. If it doesn't, I'll be hunting for an 2006 3500hd 🤣.

I look forward to your towing impressions with the 10 speed.  I'm pretty sure it will fill in those gaps that the 6 speed has and make towing even more stress free.

I could care less about the screens.  BUT, they are pretty cool and they do look amazing actually.  I do love all the extra functions as well......damn you @Pryme...... 🤬

The startup "z71" sequence and animations are pretty badass. My 5 year old son loves it 🤣
