Are the knock sensors only under the intake manifold on the LM4 too? I guess I'll just have to look at the casting numbers on the heads.

Yep, you're correct. I was just hoping there was something on the block itself to confirm that it is an L33. Hopefully the head casting numbers will be enough.

Yes. All Gen 3 LS based engines have knock sensors under the intake. Thats where mine are in my iron 6.0, that were there in the 4.8, they are there in my brothers LM4, they are there on the LS1 and LS6. Knock sensor and cam sensor placement is the quick way to tell a gen 3 block from a gen 4. I can drop an L33 in my truck right now and drive it. Then change tuning to make it run right. tuning is the only change i will have to make.

Okay, yea I guess that would be the case with the sensors since the different engines are interchangeable. Got ya.

It won't latch or it won't go down?

Washed my truck yesterday and guess what? It didn't rain last night or today. So my truck will finally be clean for more than 12 hours.

Also drove 220 miles on Valentines Day with the wife up and down the coast and only used half a tank.

They are out in force here. I am just waiting on all the people commuting home to subside so I can have some more fun.

We went out quadding with the family today and managed to do drive some fun trails in my truck as well. Ground clearance is always a worry but she did quite well.

Although I did have some trouble going down a sandy wash so my dad jumped in and got her through hauling major ass. She's dusty as hell now but it was an awesome day outside of the city.

For a few hours I completely forgot about the road rash from yesterday. :(

Drove mine to work. Had some fun in the snow on the way to the gym, and then back home. I love driving this thing in the snow, it's a tank!

Yesterday I worked some more on the heater/AC fan motor. Got some more crap out of the fir flow system. Also there was a cover mounted below the fan motor that had foam that was all out of wack. It's definitely quieter but still think there is something hung up in the air flow. Since I had the vacuum out I went ahead and vacuumed out the interior. Finally, since my driveway is not paved I got some dirt to fill in a nasty pot hole that's been driving me nuts for a couple of weeks.

Washed truck around noon @ 26°. 4 of 5 bays were being used.

Though by the time I got home, have only somewhat less ice/salt/winter crap on it.
