My father just came out of the truck swearing, after he tried to access the menu on the state run EZ-Pass site using On-Star. Can't "press 1" for English with On-Star ...

I went and delivered this contraption yesterday. 2 hours out and 2 hours back - nice easy day. I was surrounded by gawkers the minute I stopped for gas though, LOL ...

 

 

 

 

I would of joined the crowd of gawkers! lol What type of boat is that jeep body on? looks like it'd be top heavy.

LOL - no I just snapped one when I was loading, and a couple after it was on board. I was in a hurry (what else is new? ).

 

It was a gutted jet ski underneath that fiberglass fake Jeep body. No jet pump, nozzle, engine, or anything. The headlights and markers on the body were real lights. Tail lights were round LEDs like you'd see on a TT unit. Had a couple fiberglass pontoons on each side to keep it from tipping over (definitely top heavy, especially when on that trailer!). Had a steering wheel cabled to the outboard, and a gas pedal connected to the throttle. Guy who bought it was loaded - it was a Christmas gift for his buddy. Guy's lucky to have him as a friend!

 

Thank God I had the weight distribution hitch with the anti-sway setup, or I'd have been in the ditch. WAY tail-heavy ... and was like a sail in the wind, sticking WAY up above my truck.

It has the Prostaff lenses in it, which is what I have on all my guns. Very clear for the money. I paid $100 for that scope mount, but it's really nice, I like the setup a lot. Has the BDC reticle out to 600 yards

721,705 - Thermostats changed truck was running @ 170, Idler, tensioner pulleys and belt replaced.

Tightened my outer tie rod ends an extra notch last night. It would seem the clunks/pops I was getting have disappeared. Sweet! Now to get more work done on the wife's Jeep. I replaced her rear brakes this past weekend, also replaced the CV joint on the rear of her front drive shaft and now the front brakes need to be replaced. This Jeep is starting to annoy me, fix one thing, two more things break....still need to fix the wiring in the driver's door....AGAIN! Keep breaking wires and messing with the windows, mirrors and door locks.

Started sanding the paint off my truck. It really does hurt taking a sanding disk and metal grinder to a 2014 Silveardo 1500 lol.

Mine needs a paint job already too. Who would've thought a manufacturer could cheap out on paint! This thing scratches just by looking at it wrong.

 

I get that black is like that ... but it's THROUGH the clear, and most of the base, just from a friggin forsythia branch ...wtf. Weakest paint I've ever experienced. Guess they expect truck owners to be city-dwelling, martini-sippers with the pinkie out ....

They're resealing the pavement in our complex so they opened up some garages for us to park in the meantime so my truck will be sleeping indoors from here until maybe Saturday. She barely fits lengthwise with about an inch to spare up front! And with the freezing temperatures we've been having this week it's perfect timing.

 

And arriving soon will be a radio button, license plate light wiring, and the right rear door handle.
