My average is 20.6 mph right now. I drive 48 miles to work one way, roughly 50% back roads, 30% highway and 20% city. That's not bad considering my car averages around 25 mph on the same trip.

And i drive over a pretty descent mountain range in the process.

Mine went down 2-3 MPG as well after the TC and Peek downloads. I think it is gradually getting better, but cold mornings are not helping. The just wait for winter blend gas, it is a 3 MPG drop.

I haven't read this whole thread. Just picked up my 2014 SLT last week. How long/miles does it take to gauge my true MPG? I have taken two 50 mile trips and driven to and from work (3 miles one way) mostly. It has gone form 17 MPG down to 15 MPG.

added a diablew tune, getting crazy good mpg in my 6.2l now. averaging like 18-19.5 city and 22 at 70mph.

Is it a custom tune or are you just running the economy tune?

After reading this post I'm definitely ordering my tuner this weekend.

custom tune. best money i've ever spent on a vehicle including tint, intake, exhaust, and radio upgrades. i'll never drive a vehicle without a custom tune.

Keep in mind also that the refineries are now starting to put out the winterblend of fuel which will hurt the fuel economy as well.

I've just taken a 2400 mile trip from Houston, Texas to Breckenridge, Colorado and back. My maximum speed was 70 mph. My overall fuel economy (hand calculated) was 20.14 mpg (My poorest tank average was 17.9; my best was 22.45). I used premium fuel with octane ratings between 90 and 93 (locations have different ratings for premium fuel). My truck's starting mileage was slightly over 15,000 miles. I now have two long trip averages for the truck. Empty, at 70 mph, slightly better than 20 mpg. Pulling my 6,100 lb trailer on a 6,700 mile trip, 11.6 mpg overall average. My vehicle specifics are: 2014 Silverado LTZ, 6.2 / Max Tow w/Trailer Mirrors. Good luck in your travels.

I just did a higway trip, about 150 miles cruising ~78mph, BEST I could get was 20.9, average was 20.4. This is on a '14 5.3 w 3.08s.

:dunno:

Truck gets 18.9 effortlessly in the city. Yet barely peaks 20mpg on the interstate.

Wind drag is a killer, I went down to 72 and got almost 22MPG on 93 fuel. I have 342 gears. In the 75 MPH zone I get 20. I get 18 MPG on E85 at 70.

Hey fellas, I have noticed a pretty significant mileage drop on my 2014 Crew 5.3 3.42 pick up. I drive about 30 miles/day 99% freeway. When I first got the truck I was averaging anywhere between 20-21 daily, however just in the past couple of weeks my mileage has significantly decreased and am now averaging anwhere from 15-16.5. My driving habits have not changed and I am not using the remote start or idling for any length of time.

Any idea what could be causing the change? Should I just take it to the dealer?
