bcbz71 Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 I'm still waiting for more people to give me some feedback about the 2.5" RC lift giving them issues. I'm leaning towards this kit, but still looking at reasons not to. 18,500 on my RC 2.5 (front and back) level. No issues. Ride is no rougher now than when I put it in. I highly recommend this kit and don't have any experience with others. If you don't like it, you can always take it out and you are only out about $300 (kit + alignment).
Tungsten14 Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 (edited) Alright chill the **** out. Didn't mean to put your panties in a wad. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk im chill as can be. i was correcting your mistake, and used caps to emphasize important points. hopefully with the correct information provided, others will get the desired results. I'm leaning towards this kit, but still looking at reasons not to. it's way too early for me as far as feedback goes on issues, but i dont see any issues happening. they're just two spacers, with no moving parts. the only thing that rough country really recommends is that you get an alignment , as well as re-check hardware to be sure it's tight. im pretty happy with the way it installed (easily, no fit and finish problems) and would recommend it. Aldila Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I ran the RC 2.5 on a 2014 Silverado for 62k and the only issue I had was torn CV boots. I had same issue on 07 and 11 leveled trucks. Since then, I've been informed to periodically spray silicone spray on the boots to keep them from drying out and ripping over time due to different angle after level. A friend has been doing this on a 2015 with the RC 2.5 and his boots look great at 51k.
SlavO Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 55,000 miles on my RC kit 2.5 " with the rear 2" blocks on 275/60/20. No problems so far truck has 69,500 miles so far 2014
99-ls1-ss Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I finally got my truck leveled. It's a Rough Country 2" kit. BeforeAfter
Donstar Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I finally got my truck leveled. It's a Rough Country 2" kit. Great pictures and great looking truck in both! I appreciate the pictures being in the same setting for an accurate comparison! I do like the looks of a 1.5 " to 2" level and will hopefully be doing the same in a short time. My dilemma is choosing between leveling spacers or levelling shocks and am wondering what factors most influenced your choice.
99-ls1-ss Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I chose the spacer because it was cheaper. That's all it was. I don't mind how my truck rides so I wasn't worried about changing the shocks.
Donstar Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Thanks for your response. I am beginning to realize that if the only benefit to levelling shocks is improving an already great ride then the extra cost of the shocks could be put to better uses! The manner in which these shocks actually lift your vehicle is no apparent improvement over spacers.
MOhunter92 Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Anybody have any opinion on the ready lift 2.25 inch kit? Looks like they run about $250 and are made out of aluminum vs the glass polymer on the RC and most other kits. The glass polymer is a very durable and strong material, also cheaper. I almost feel like aluminum spacers would end up deforming over time sitting on steel parts, that could totally not be the case just curious. Anybody's thoughts? I do like the two piece aspect.

My dealer said they don't care about any level kits, just don't go 3 inches and they are fine with it.
cjz28 Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 fits in garage nicely. front view w/ front air dam removed
kylercochran361 Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Might be the best looking truck with leveling kit I've seen. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk 1
