Shifting hard at times

Well as it turns out it wasen't the shift cables, or the transmission, the problem was in the column, I figured this out by accident the other day when I went to tilt my steering column(which I never do) and found that it woulden't lock into place afterwards, so I grabbed a can of rust check and lubricated the column in arround the tilt lever and hazzard switch and then everything is working perfect now, shifts like a dream, tilt works perfect, it even steers easier.Unfortunatly just before I did this I had ordered the new cables at the dealer, when they came in I just had to pay a restocking fee to get them to keep them, at any rate I am releived to have this fixed and glad I diden't just run to the dealer for diagnosis at $75/h as it would not have been a warranty thing.
