Im trying to install my Westin 4" Nerf bars in my 1 1/2 month old 2018 Silverado.  In the instructions it says there should be threaded holes in the body of my truck to install the brackets.  The only place that shouldnt have threaded holes is the back passenger side.   I even looked on youtube and everyone is showing the same.  Attached picture is my front drivers side rocker right after the front wheel.  As you can see there are no threaded holes to be found.  Its the same as this all the way around the truck.  

 

Anyone run into the same issue, or what am I doing wrong?

I found their updated instruction manual, they want me to put those clips in every one of those holes.  Will give that a try.

I love the high and tight appearance of the Amp Research steps over the OEM 6" rectanglular.  Especially on a 4x4 truck.

Good afternoon fellow GM owners. Brand new to the site. Need help finding hardware. I recently purchased a 2018 Silverado Crew Cab LTZ 4x4. My neighbor had a set of step bars off of a 2015 Silverado Crew Cab. (GM part #'s 22912947, 22912948) He said he'd sell for $20. I took that deal! The brackets are still on the bars but there are no mounting bolts or clips for mounting to the truck. Can anyone direct me to where I can purchase the correct bolts and clips? Thanks for the help!

Has anyone installed the 84164549 GM steps?  How are they holding up.  I installed a set of the N-fab hoops on my 2014 and wasn't happy with the durability of the finish on them.

How have these held up for those that have these? I live in IL, so snow and salt will be a concern, are these powder coated so they don't rust? How good are these for providing protection against those clowns that swing their door open leaving a dent on your side?

 

What is the difference between the Rhino Black Dominator D6 and Rhino RB20?

So far they're great.  I had the RB10's and had the coating flake off so I went with the non rhino coat this time around.  Glad I did, yes they are powder coated.  As far as door protection, I think that all depends on the height of the car next to you.  Seems like there is some protection.  Here is a few pics from down the side of my truck.

That is great, thanks for the pics. I'm looking at these and the Dominator D6, both look really good.

 

I primarily need these for my wife and son, they have a tough time getting in. Myself and my other kids are no problem since we are taller. LOL!

I'm in the saem boat, my wife and our youngest have trouble.  I really like the no running board look, but I had to get something and to me these are the best looking ones besides Amp.

Robert, did you check with the Dealer to see if they can order the hardware since you have the part numbers.

I went with the DeeZee NXT boards since I live in the rust belt. They are powdercoated aluminum so they’re light weight and rust is only an issue on the mounting brackets. They’ve been thru 2 winters so far and the coating is holding up great. I did repaint the brackets last year because they were starting to get a little rusty.

I’ll look at this brand too. Too bad the brackets weren’t totally rust proof on a lot of these kits, it would make things so much nicer.

I’ve come across some OEM folding steps off a 2014 suburban and I’m wondering if anyone knows if they will fit a 2014 Sierra crew cab? I figured this would be easier then reading all 103 pages. Thanks in advance
