On my 2014 CC 6.5 bed:

What about using the bed and tailgate area to haul a Harley? Put some planking and plywood over the bed/tailgate?

So, LOL, nice(!), I'd like to ask a couple more questions:

It's hard to tell but it looks like most if not all the weight of the rear wheel is in the bed or on the hinge area? Of course it had to ride over the tail gate unless lifted up and over it. I was most worried about those tailgate cables breaking or the gate crumbling. Which leads to my next question,

Did you use ramps or muscle it?

Stock 1500 suspension?

You have the 6.2L and I have the 5.3L but I'm guessing that probably doesn't really matter that much unless going up some mountains.

Thanks,

Doug

So far just local delivery & storage but 1st trip out (& more importantly up) is this weekend. 7200lbs dry. 5.3l, 3.42, 4x4.

Memorial day is our dry run before cross-country this summer.rave5yzu.jpg

Thanks! Trailer is 34 ft long and weighs 8900lbs empty. Pulled it out this past weekend after the wife loaded it up and i am sure that we are over 10,000lbs fully loaded. Truck pulls the trailer just as well as it did when it was empty on the day that i brought it home. Can say enough good about the 6.2 engine. I have about 45psi in the air bags and it levels the truck out just right. I have only pulled a couple of large hills and had no issues.
