Just picked up my 2014 Grey Wolf 26DBH. Got the truck so I could get a bigger trailer. I am not disappointed at all with how my truck is towing this. Had the setup weighed. My 383 miles down to get the trailer I got 22.5 MPG running around 75 MPH. On the way back running around 60-70 MPH I got 10.5 MPG. Can not complain at all. Love this setup. For those that are interested here is my scale sheet with a full tank of gas and the camper stock from dealer.

Steer Axle 3100 lb

Drive Axel 3780 ib

Trailer axel 4980 ib

Gross weight 11860 ib

Regards,

David

SHHHH don't tell anyone. I can see well enough to know where the back end of the setup is. Total camper size hitch to rear bumper is 30' 7". I am waiting on the CIPA 2014 slip on mirrors. They stated that they are tooling up for a run of them now and expect them to be out in 60-90 days. Until then I will most likely get a cheap pair of those suction cup extension mirrors. I just did not like the look of the "trailer mirrors". I do not plan on driving around much of a long distance for now anyways.

David

I towed my Dads 1970 Camaro about 2 weeks ago and today. Not sure on the weight but I am estimating somewhere in the ball park of 4,000-5,000 lbs. truck pulled great, the engine braking was awesome really helps in not overusing the brakes. The only thing I didn't get to use was my trailer brakes because the car trailer I was using has hydraulic brakes (which I hate) and not electric brakes. I pulled this car in my 2012 Sierra 1500 and it didn't pull nearly this easy. The new 5.3's pull much better and smoother. Here are some pics, mods are in my signature.

thedave29, I agree with you on the mirrors. I am not a huge fan of the look but I like the functionality of them. When we pulled ours home from the dealership last year my wife rode behind me and called me when I could change lanes, couldn't see more than half way down. my trailer is all smooth sides which is aluminum and lighter...6700 lbs before we add all our crap

Just for your knowledge 1970s camaros were about 31-3200lbs depending on engine and trim level, they werent really that heavy.

so at very best the car weighs 3k and the trailer is an all steel deck and weighs at least 1500lbs which would equal a total weight of 4500 with car and trailer.

28' enclosed race trailer. With my 72 Nova and fuel tools quad etc. in it it weighs about 9900. My 14 is a max tow 6.2 and it handles it no problem. Better than my old 2500 Suburban with an 8.1 big block. And damn close to as good as my 06 LBZ Duramax 2500HD crew cab
