Bluetooth phone call voice quality

Recommended Posts

I have an Iphone 5S. When I use the Bluetooth connection for phone calls, the other party says the voice quality is terrible, they cant hear me and I keep cutting in and out. Anyone else having these issues? I hear the other person very well through the trucks stereo system.

Have you checked that the microphone in the truck isn't blocked with something?

Mine works fine, nobody complains...Iphone 4

Nothing is blocking it.

I have the 5s as well. People have no problem hearing me.

I have an iPhone 5. No complaints yet. Although I find I have to talk a bit more direct into the speaker than on previous vehicles, and forget even talking on the bluetooth when the windows are open.

iPhone 5 here and no issues. I'm actually surprised at how much I DON'T have to yell for people to hear me. The system has been working great. Now if only GM would do a software update to the MyLink system so that it returns to the radio screen after I hang up a call, that would be most appreciated.

I have a LG Flex, and the call quality is great both ways. GM has really improved the Bluetooth, that's for sure. Nobody hears the fan.

I have no issues with my iphone 5S either. Just an FYI the microphone for the bluetooth is not the little grille above the drivers head. That's for the automatic temp reader/probe.

It's not? I'll have to test that out on my way home. If its a temp reader then why isn't there one on the passenger side for the dual zone ac? Also, where is the mic then?

yes it is....because one day that thing stopped working and no one could hear me on bluetooth calls anymore. Had it replaced by the dealer and it was like new again.

Actually that little grille above the driver's head is exactly the microphone for the bluetooth. Whoever told you otherwise is mistaken.

I stand corrected then. I asked the service adviser what it was and that was his reply. I know for a fact that was what that grille was on the 07-13 trucks as I had to have the mic replaced one time in my 09. It was in the overhead console.

I have the exact opposite problem. I sound perfectly fine to the caller, but they are very staticky through the radio.
