Audio Upgrade for LT Silverado

I have a 14 Silverado LT non Bose. has anyone upgraded their sound that didn't break the bank? Anything is better than these stock speakers. Any info will help thanks

was thinking of keeping stock radio and adding speakers/sub

800 is steep for just a sub and amp

Are they connected to an amp?

Just the standard factory radio. It's plenty loud enough, esp. in a truck as quiet as the Silverado.

Nice, where did you mount the tweeters?

I'm doing this on my Camaro. The tweeters will replace the factory ones on the doors.

 

I looked into the same thing for the Silverado. Pretty much the same job, but the tweeters will need to mount elsewhere. I'd suggest either mounting them in the upper door panels, or using the pods and anchoring them on the doors.

i'm pretty happy with my kicker power stage (amp & sub) kit. i got mine for around $840.

 

i like the peace of mind of not voiding the factory warranty or pulling 4 door panels off and trying to power aftermarket speakers with an oem head unit.

Would be great, but we don't all have 4 doors.

It wont fit in a regular cab.
