Just got my 4600 front struts in (zero thought to ever level my truck, i think its silly) my rears were installed last fall.

Man what a difference from the ranchos. Much less harsh or brittle feeling. Much smoother and a better planted feel on turns ect

I installed the 5100's in place of the Rancho's along with a Zone 2" leveling kit for the front and left the front shock at the stock setting because I'd read that with the 5100 at the highest setting (1.86"), some were saying the ride was pretty stiff. I can say the ride with the Bilstein's over the Rancho's is far superior. It's still firm but not harsh. I have not tried other settings on the front. I thought about taking out the 2" leveling kit and raising the shock up to the highest setting, but I'm happy with the ride and not sure I wan to do the work anytime soon. I have no regrets buying the Bilstein's though. They went on a truck that had less than a 1,000 miles and for the better ride it was worth the money.

I am interested in doing this as well, if I put the 5,100's on the front and back along with the 2" zone leveling kit, would i be able to adjust the back shocks so the truck still has a little rake and then it will level out when i am towing a boat?

There is no adjustment on the rear.  I'd suggest a set of air bags for the rear like Air Lift to adjust the rear when you have a load.  I have the Ride Control bags (2000 lbs) with a Wireless One Controller.  I tried the Load Lifter Ultimate (5000 lbs) with a Smart Air II Controller and it rode bad, so I swapped it out for the lighter system.  Other people have not had problems with the heavier spring but I'm happy with the lighter one and I tow a heavy 30' pontoon boat and a 16' enclosed trailer loaded with motorcycles and it does fine.

Bilstein 5100’s allegedly provide up to 2.5” of lift up front. Is this actually correct?

It’s different on each make/model. On the GMs it’s:

0, .75”, 1.25”, 1.85”
