Update:

Remove some of the black plasti dip last weekend. Today I installed my color matched door handles. Really happy with the results and super easy to do. The first one took about 10 minutes but once I found where to put my pick tool the door handles were all swapped with in 5 minutes. Longest part is loosening the screw. Later this week I'll be receiving and installing my color matched door trim.

And these chrome ones are for sale. Please excuse anything that looks like a black blemish. It is simply left over or over spray from plasti dip. I will clean them before I ship them out. If your interested please PM.

Unfortunately nothing has come in yet. The worst part about ordering all this stuff is the damn wait. My wheels and tires will be here tomorrow and the lift kit today.

Yeah man the wait for car/truck parts is always killer! At least you'll get the wheels soon! Can't wait to see some pics, I've been back and forth with what finish I want for mine and just what kind of overall theme I'm going for. I'm leaning towards like a hyper silver or machined right now

Pacific Fabrication never sent me a tracking number but my lift kit showed up this morning at 10am. BDS did a superb job of packaging everything and loading it on the pallet. R&L Freight was great too as the leaf springs hung off the side of the pallet and there isn't a single scratch on them. But I will say it was a pain in the ass moving 425lbs of lift kit to the bed of my truck lol. As far as wheels go I went with the black methods. Down the road I am going to be painting the lips the color of the body and then the bolts black and the lug nuts will be painted matched as well. I really need to fix some dents too.

Wow good stuff man, I really like the Methods too! And geez, i had no idea a lift kit weighed that much, I know BDS is top of the line though, I was looking at their 4" myself. Your plans sound awesome man can't wait to see how it turns out! Also curious about the smoker you're building!

I had everything shipped to my work but I had to take it all off the pallet. Tomorrow my wheels and tires are coming in so I will fit that in the bed of the truck and the bds lift kit boxes around it. Then drive to the installer looking like this...

The lift kit only weighed so much because I also ordered the rear leaf springs as well. Those things probably weighted about 75lbs a piece. I also just went ahead and ordered a set of EGR Pocket Style fender flares. Those will hopefully be here next week and I'll get them dropped off at the painter (still need to find this painter I speak of). I'm hoping to get the smoker done this weekend while my girlfriend is out of town. Figure I'll crack open my bottle of single barrel and work on the barrel. I just cant decide on whether I want to use a nail gun or use black screws? My dad had a great idea that i should rivets only problem is I don't have access to the inside of the barrel until I secure it all together.

Thanks man! I may start fixing some of the body this week or weekend. Going to start with the compressed can air and heat gun and see how far that gets me. As far as the hood goes I may get an aftermarket hood down the road. Only problem I have with that is that I want a aluminum hood not fiberglass or those other materials.

Basically the BDS will ride a lot better than the zone due to the coil overs. Now if you go the basic BDS 6" kit the ride will comparable. I was going to get the 8" CST lift and run 37's but I decided on the BDS because of the factory no fine print warranty and the 560 warranty. Both are free and coverage and damage to the truck even if the dealer does not. One downside to my BDS lift is that the rear end will be stiff for the next 1-2,000 miles because of the new leaf springs. After that is when people say they seem to break in. Once everything is installed I'll bust out the work GoPro and take some videos of the coilovers in action and how the new Toyo R/T's handle off road. Also, before you purchase your kit contact Pacific Fabrication and see if they can get you a deal. They hooked it up for me, I got my kit for about $1000 off retail.

The leaf springs are suppose to ride just as good as factory. The thing that will make a lifted truck ride stiffer is the increased ply on the tires
